Good vibes being sent in the direction of the Carr family - this was an awesome gesture and hopefully Chad is able to beat this.

Kudos to Friends Are By Your Side for bringing a bit of Sanibel Island (a beautiful place) to Chad Carr.

I'm going to visit a friend tomorrow who is in a tough spot like Chad. She was just diagnosed a few weeks ago, but she is not expected to live more than six months. If that. She is my girlfriend's best friend, she is a doctor who dedicated her life to helping others, who raised a daughter by herself in a new country and remarried and raised her stepdaughter too and put them both through college. Who did everything for others her whole adult life and received a death sentence at age 50 in return. Life isn't fair to Chad, nor to my friend, it's arbitrary and capricious and impossible to understand.

enjoy every minute with her with the respect, honor and good humor she deserves.  Some of my deepest joy and most profound moments have come in the final hours of loved ones who have knowingly suffered before their time.  Best to you sadeto, to her and her family.
