OT: ASU switching from Nike to Adidas
8yr deal for $4.25M per. Interesting as they seemed to be a focus school of Nike's for their uniformz varities.

Well, look what they did for Oregon. I called the unis for the Pac12 championship game the John Deere unis, those were pretty hideous.

Technially 7/31/2016, but a new contract should be in place a year in advance.

As far as gear goes Nike would help a ton when it comes to recruiting, etc.

They also offered us double what they are paying OSU. Your making stuff up and also completely left out a ton of other details.

just doesn't give a shit of what the fans want. They care about money and how they can use it to help finance the Athletic Department which they're in a business of generating revenues.

They get my vote if they'll drop the highliter maize color and burn the Outback Bowl and MSU alternates. Do these things really matter though...

Basketball got much better with Adidas and the football team won 11 games one season with Adidas. Get over it. They are just as good as Nike.

If we drop Adidas why don't we go LA Gear or British Knights?

I really don't believe recruiting has been negatively affected by having Adidas versus Nike. The recruiting classes for football have been really good when not dealing with coaching changes and basketball has landed studs like McGary, Burke and Irvin. What recruits really care about is winning not the jersey. If it were about jerseys Oregon would be God. Notre Dame also recruited well with Adidas and UCLA football is about as good as they've been in my lifetime. So while a kid may prefer Nike if that is what drives them to pick one school over the other then good luck to him because those are interesting priorites.
