OT: The Americans season finale
Mmmm....Keri Russell. /obligatory
I wonder if this is the episode where Stan starts to figure out the truth about his neighbors.
fan here, I would love some personal time with her.
Developed character. I feel something crazy is going to happen with Paige. Like her and Matthew go at it ?
Still the best show on TV right now.
Yeah, but how? He's got to fuck off back to Moscow. Maybe he's involved from there, but I wouldn't think you'd see much of him.
Edit: Pretty amazing that they get two more seasons (albeit cable seasons, not regular network). So many shows don't make it past one nowadays.
Think about who is heading back there (or already there)...Arkady, Oleg, Martha. I don't think it's that far fetched to see some of the next two seasons set in the USSR.
Two more seasons is great for the show. Sepinwall talked to the showrunners about the remaining episodes and what they're thinking. 23 total episodes, 13 next season, 10 in the final season.
Phillip's response was great when Elizabeth was wondering about how different it all looks now.
Martha, Schmartha. I don't see how she could figure into anything - her usefulness was up. The other two, possibly.
Isn't that Philip's son?
her character made me constantly uncomfortable. If she were real, I would avoid her like the plague.
that lassa virus is worse.
With getting Martha out of the U.S. Those couple of episodes were really well done. After that the tension wasn't there, but I liked the set up for next season with William giving up clues to Stan & Aderholt about who they should be looking for.
I got back into the show this season and it definitely passes the time between sunday nights. But I've had to overcome how the dialogue is delivered by the actors. Every line goes: "Words word wordy worrrrrds [pause] words." It's more grating than vocal fry.
Want to read thread...can't...should be able to watch tonight...uggggghhhhh!
Just finished watching. We thought it was lame, but I can't expect a homerun every episode.
