I would have been disappointed if someone's dog and a guy with a mustache weren't involved in a disc golf highlight.

That's a really good shot, though it did help that it was a straight-line view to the cup.

No, I recognize that.  I used to play disc golf a lot when I was younger and those straight-line shots are deceptively difficult; I much preferred the dog leg ones because I could compensate for my natural curve better.  Just pointing out that it probably helped a bit seeing the bucket.  Still a great shot.

It was 1986..... our bar-league softball team was playing in a tournament at the famous, nay... infamous, Mio under the lights, ball field.

We played an 8AM game Saturday morning vs thrify rent a car out of Novi.  We got destroyed and our next game wasn't until 6pm..... We headed to the state park near the river, behind Hinchman's.

The bar we played for gave us 1/2 gallon of peach schnapps and an 8 gallon keg for the weekend.  We grilled food and drank all day.  Out of boredom guys created a game, a little horseshoe, a little cornhole (before cornhole was a thing).  The trash cans in the park were 55 gallon drums with lids on them.  They seemed to be pretty evenly spaced apart.  teams were two guys, one at each trash can....  tossing softballs underhand, if it hit the lid was 2pts, if it hid the side of the can in the air, 1pt.  game to 21......  good times.

The reason for this reflection, I believe this is how disc golf was created.

We won our 6pm game, played next at 9pm and then midnight (as i recall).  After winning three in a row, we didn't play again until 10:30 Sunday morning.  The magic wore off, we were drubbed and out of the tournament.... from that point, we consumed all the Milluakees best that "Ma's Mug and Jug" had in stock.
