I also assume that this is an April fool's joke by the station. However, I can't wait until those neanderthals from Columbus get hit by NCAA sanctions and they're actually worse than their stupid jokes.
Not to be an April Fool's Party Pooper but... you didn't hear it on 97.3 because that's not even the sports station down here, its 97.1. Also, Mike and Mike are on until 10 am down here followed by Cowherd.

It was on 96.3, not 97.3... 96.3 is the classic rock station and has one of the bigger local morning shows, Wags & Elliott. I didn't hear the inital report but it was definitely an April Fool's joke b/c I heard them talking about it on the way to work. People were calling in and saying "Derrrp, you guys got me!" I believe they also added some sort of report about Earl Bruce coming back? I don't know how someone could actually believe this stuff, but it IS Columbus...
Yes typo on my part... I thought you were referring to the sports station down here.. well classic rock station didn't do a good job of making those jokes believable then!!

From what I am reading by people who know how this could shake out, Ohio State fans might be more pissed that it isn't true.
Maybe.. but most OSU fans down here don't think it's a big deal at all and I think most of them believe there won't be any significant punishment. It's incredible to hear their (extremely flawed) reasoning and excuses for Tressell, but then again- I'm not surprised.
