We have OU, Texas and Washington on the OOC schedule for the future dates, Do these games get scrapped? I was looking forward to going to Washington and Texas.

Even before the news today and how big OOC games get cancelled, I was always thinking these games might not play anyway. I'll believe it when I see it.

My guess is that OU and Texas gets cancelled. Michigan owes Washington a game

Why would Texas and OU get cancelled? They are not in our conference. We have no idea if Michigan will even play USC or UCLA during the relevant years, and if we do, USC is functionally no different from playing Penn St or Wisconsin.

I really don’t like that people don’t like the mention of a cartoon character being married to a same sex cartoon character.

It won't get scrapped because starting in 2025, the B1G and SEC challenge will highlight the OOC calendar. We'll still play OU and Texas and OSU will get Vandy and South Carolina because fair is fair.

To be honest, I wouldn't totally mind that if we had an expanded playoff. Playing FSU and Washington in the 1991 season made us realize that we were good, but needed to get faster. Playing the top of the SEC would give us an up front picture of where we need to improve.

If we’re being real, the idea of the original big ten died with Nebraska and was steamrolled and buried with the addition of Rutgers and Maryland. I think all this means is that teams will only play schedules within their own super conference and maybe like one cupcake game? Definitely is weird, but I’m all for more competitive and interesting football games and we could do a lot worse than USC and UCLA

Yea, the big ten used to be a league, and us now a media company. I wish we'd call it something else because a 20 team league is such a different thing than a 10 team league.

The sport is and has changed. I like the way it was and am saddened by the killing of traditional matchups but...we could do a lot worse

I’m with you on this, but I think we’ve entered an era of either eat or be eaten.  For once I feel like we’re ahead of the SEC on this point.  If the scavenging of the PAC-12 was inevitable, I’d rather it be us getting the pick of the litter.

The B1G can rename itself the Manifest Destiny conference.

We are going to have two super conferences, with the old power five making up the division realignment within the two super conferences.

Full circle.
