It would be awesome if we could start getting all the best players in our own state!!!  I hate when we lose kids from in state to other programs that is a serious kick in the balls!!!

If you go back to 2008, only twice have we gotten the majority of the top 5 players in Michigan, and only two of the #1 recruits in the state.  So over 8 years, Michigan has average1/4th of the best players in the state, and under 50% of the top 5 recruits.  To me that isn't almost always getting the best in the state.

to research your assessment that "Usually there isn't anyone worth offering after the top 3" recruits in Michigan, but I think you're being a little too brutal there.  While I know Michigan isn't the hottest of recruiting hotbeds, I'd have to guess there's a lot more than 3 legitimate Division I football players that come out of Michigan each year.

We have been losing a lot of players to other schools.  Weber from last year and McDowell from the year b4.  We get a lot of the best players in the state but im saying i want us to get them all.  Losing in state talent hurts!!!  Plus MSU has came on strong the past few years with bigger recruits.  I dont think its a secret that Michigan has been losing its grip on in state talent.  Turn on a t.v. go on the internet we are losing some of our top players in state year after year.

Hill would be a great pick up. I'm glad that his brother is finally playing to his potential. Marcus Ray said he has earned a starting role right now.

Looking at 247's top 5 for the state of Michigan we've only missed Weber, McDowell, Webb, and Burbridge in the last 4 recruiting cycles. We didn't offer Deon Drake, Dennis Finley, or Stallworth.
