O-Line analyst Kyle DeVan now O-Line coach at Colorado
From December 21, but hadn't seen it posted.
With success comes coaching attrition, but after years waiting for an O-Line like this, still makes me skittish.
FTA and from the Colorado press release:
"DeVan, 36, comes to Colorado from the University of Michigan, where he was an offensive analyst this fall, working particularly with the offensive line. He helped create weekly game plans for the run game, protection plans in the passing game, and worked with the coaches on game day field adjustments. He will join CU in January following the No. 3 Wolverines run in the College Football Playoff, with UM set to play Georgia in a semifinal on New Year’s Eve."

Colorado needs to get their shit together. It’s No. 2 Wolverines and don’t you forget it.

Soon to be No. 1 Wolverines.
Merry Christmas everyone. Go Blue!

Our analysts are getting sniped left and right. This is good in a way. When we compare the situation this time last year, they earned this.

Ryan Osborne seems to be staying now. He was committed to go through the postseason and UConn went ahead and filled their DL and LB coach spots. Great news for us!

This is what happens with elite programs. People move on and up. Equally talented newcomers move in.

Congrats to him on the promotion. Hopefully, the Joe Moore award got him a few extra dollars, too!
A strong analyst program is something that Saban has relied on for a long time - I hope JH can continue finding such gems...

This is just good news. If you aren't losing analysts, it probably means you suck

Unless, Tuck comin' to take all your salary budget. Then you lose assistants and analysts.

The notoriety which makes our analysts attractive to programs in need also makes us attractive to the next wave of coaching talent. When a door closes, a window opens. It’s how the big boys work.

I blame you, mel tucker!

Analysts are just another way to expand the coaching tree and give you more properly vetted options in future coaching searches. Hopefully he is very successful and wants to come back the next time we need an OL coach!
