Notre Dame to Release New Logo Monday (tentatively, hur hur)
Six Zero Branding announces this new branding mark for all Notre Dame athletics, to be released Monday unless they decide to not release such information until later in the week as third party disclosure sees fit. Finally, Six Zero Branding is proud to donate the entire commission to raise awareness for the persecution and mistreatment of fake girlfriends everywhere. Because even imaginary people are people too.

Could someone please give me a quick explanation about the "Catfish" reference?
January 18th, 2013 at 10:52 AM ^
A catfhish is someone who pretends to be someone they're not using Facebook or other social media to create false identities, particularly to pursue deceptive online romances.

I thought it was the other way around - the person who gets duped is the "catfish" (because they get reeled in).
(EDIT: I guess not.)

A quick and easy explanation from the guy who came up with the term. All you need to know in a minute and a half.

Nice work.
In other news, the Florence (KY) Freedom, a minor league baseball team, has announced it will have a promotion as "Manti Teo's Girlfriend Bobblehead Night" during their upcoming season.

Thanks for the laugh on a slow boring Friday afternoon at work. That water tower is an inside joke between me and one of my co-workers. Good stuff.

Apparently, this is what it will look like:

after reviewing video of Swarbrick's press conference, I'm leaning toward "Lyin' Irish".
January 18th, 2013 at 11:44 AM ^
The "Catfish" label makes no sense. I read the reasoning behind the name, and it seems like a bit of a stretch. The catfish keeps the cod alive. Who in the scenario is the cod? Is it the mark? Is it the fake person? Is the catfish pretending to be a different fish? Asians know their fish, and I doubt they were duped into thinking a catfish was a cod, considering they look nothing alike.

You're overthinking it dude. Just accept it for what it is.

I rarely laugh out loud.
Thank you

See the video I embeded above. The term makes sense. It's kind of confusing unless you saw the original movie, but the clip above sorts it out pretty well.

The video story is the worst parallel I've ever heard.
But then I think the documentary is fake as hell, so it's not shocking to me.

The mind boggles. There are two parallel memes here. One is a definition of a catfish as a person who makes a false identity online. The other is a cute story about Asian carp? Nary the twain shall meet. I am a highly-trained English major. GAAAAAHHHHH!!!!
"That's a little too much reality for a Friday night."

You know, now that I think about it, I'm not sure that leprechaun is real either.

Come to think of it, when I go for Dim Sum we have Shrimp Balls and sometimes I forget who I am for, like, five minutes. I'm starting to see the connection here.

. . .the sign going into the tunnel next season will now say "Play Like An Imaginary Girlfriend Today."

...why does a 20-something guy have a tramp stamp?
January 18th, 2013 at 3:23 PM ^
...reason a guy would have bear paws tattooed on his ass. Which is to say that you probably don't really want to know.
