Looks like a defensive battle here in Columbus. Weather is complete shit. First one to 14 might win it.

35 actually isn't that much when you consider how our offense continually put our defense into truly terrible positions.

Doesn't take much for things to get out of hand if our defense gets tired from a long drive, then, 3 plays later, is back on the field for another long drive, then, 2 plays later, is back on the field after a fumble with only 20 yards behind them.

Shit can snowball if there isn't balance.

Part of defense is that you've got to just suck it up sometimes and get out there on short rest.

I'm not overly critical of Brown but one thing I don't get is that we struggle to get red zone stops, even against teams like MTSU.  We don't give up a ton of red zone opportunities but when we do, teams cash in.  I don't know if Brown has become very predictable in RZ situations or what, but we have a tough time holding teams to 3 when they get close.

Rutgers game looks like two high school teams playing...why is Rutgers in the B1G?  I hate Jim Delaney...may he have to sit through an eternity of commercial breaks

Edit:  Liberty scored 14-7

If youre playing a team with 1 receiving threat, a mediocre QB and a heisman level RB do you

A. Run man and hope your 18-21 year olds dont blow their gap assignments because any mistake is a big gain

Or

B. Run zone with all eyes in the back field and make a mediocre QB beat you with his arm.
