The issue with you isn't even that you're wrong necessarily, it's that you can only see the negative, and if the results don't match your negative narrative then you either ignore it or latch onto even the most miniscule stretch evidence in order to fit your narrative. You're the type where Michigan could go undefeated and your only comment would be criticizing that the team didn't do good enough in some area for your liking and is therefore over rated.

They have solid talent but I do think getting to play Memphis down their HC probably helps.
Their offense without Hamler and Freiermuth would be impossible to watch.

Basically because ND doesn’t want to join a conference it limits their options. If they were 11-1 they are probably in a marquee bowl game. They lost to the only good teams on their schedule and one was an embarrassing beat down in prime time. That said I would be fine with Michigan in the Camping World Bowl because that is a game they could actually win.

It also creates the built-in narrative next year when "Is ND, coming of an 11-win season, a dark horse playoff contender?" that only falls apart if you look at their 11 wins and their 2 losses.
I can see why ND won't ever join a conference but this is what happens when you just have a meh year.

Penn State turning it on now. MSU, Iowa, and PSU have all looked good in bowl games. If we come out flat, it reflects really poorly on our coaching staff.

Started watching the Penn State game in late 3rd Q. Penn State's pass defense looking surprisingly bad.
They just got an interception to save them, though.
Everything else looks good (rush defense and offense).
