Nick Perry not qualifying?
So buried in a Freep Article today about Michigan State's 4.0 average football players is this little gem:
Nick Perry (Detroit King), the top recruit from Michigan from last year, is still waiting to find out if he will be eligible to attend USC. Perry needed this summer to shore up his academics, and he has not heard from the NCAA yet if what he did will be sufficient enough to allow him to join the Trojans.
It would be a shame if he didn't qualify.

If he qualifies, then he shows up in SEP. Hopefully, 'Spoon will do the same for us. But if he doesn't, then what? Does the recruitment start over or is his LOI still binding?
Didn't Germany fail to qualify at USC then come to Michigan? Could that theoretically happen with Perry?
Spoon's issues involved HS course work. They should be resolved within the month and he'll be back in time to start classes, meaning a probable redshirt.
Not sure about Perry. If it's a test score he'd probably go to a prep school like Hargrave. If it's course work from HS he'll most likely be at USC this fall, not unlike Spoon.
"It would be a shame if he didn't qualify."
LOL! Awesome.
