Please rename to Lions Super Bowl thread
*Loins
Hope springs eternal
Part of me is like “The lions can run this draft” and part of me is “they’ll fuck it up.”
dear brian, as much as i identify with the first part, please pay heed to the second part.
signed,
a lions fan
Oh, they’ll fuck it up. Don’t you worry.
"run" or "ruin"?
It fits into their defensive strategy - maintain distance, no contact, etc.
They fucked it up.
Same old Shitty Ass Lions.
Yep. QB’s went at 5&6 and they couldn’t convince one of them to move up. Fire this regime and sell the team to Bezos.
I was waiting for someone to start this
I'm really hoping for at least a few technical errors
I'm here for the lions to fuck up this pick.
Well, at least we probably won't have to wait very long.
Is Roger going to virtually hug it out?
YouTube TV here, so I'm stuck with ESPN instead of NFL Network.
They've already put Michael Irvin on at least once. I'm noticeably dumber for having seen this.
NFL Network (at least on Directv) is simulcasting ESPN's coverage so you aren't missing anything.
Same here. This is the first time in forever that I haven't had NFL Network. I stopped watching ESPN draft coverage years ago because of Chris Berman.
I really dig the draft, but they draw it out too much.
You forgot to type "way" between "out and "too."
I almost said that they could do the entire draft tonight if they wanted to, but I was lazy.
Last season, Matt Stafford's back was dangerously questionable. I would not bank the next few years on him. The Lions should grow a pair of balls and Pick Tua. But I don't have much faith in anything the Lions do..... I guess whomever they pick, the Lions will still suck.
He’s been pretty durable during his career. I think he’ll be fine.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Stafford fan, but he ain't young. Tua has a future - at least try something different. The Lions could do worse
Ok I’m watching this to get my mind off COVID, so let’s talk only COVID for the first 15 minutes. Thanks NFL!
TUA, TUA, TUA, TUA, TUA. However, the team that has one playoff win since 1957 will take a hard pass.
Also, Fremont Dark Star 2018.
i'd pass on tua, too. injuries in general and hip injury in particular that is a potential career ending type. played in a system that let him throw slants to 5 stars. good article here the other day on how the OC at bama had to eat some of this playbook b/c tua wasn't able to do the reads (IIRC).
Tua looked like an amazing college QB who wouldn’t do much in the pros. Then he got hurt. I just can’t understand people who think he should go in the first round.

You just don't understand football, outside of your injury concerns.
I've seen Tua make many more throws than just slants. Dude is a baller. Didn't read the aforementioned article but on the surface I don't buy it. Maybe they scrapped it because they didn't need it. He's got all the tools and his injuries, if one wanted, could be chalked up to some terrible luck - and not insinuate he's fragile.
Tua is the perfect pick for the Lions . They dont really need a qb and i think he is over rated as all get out .
Nice beer, Bryan! Big Fremont fan?! You a fan of brew 3k or brew 4k?!
Shea going number one!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your mom went number 2, and then you came into the world.
Too many ways to read this...NM you changed it!
Yeah. I’m not sure wtf my autocorrect was doing.
Fauci secretly wants this to last forever dude is literally everywhere.
Do some research on the guy. He has many years "experience" with this one.
"Seize the Dey" Woof, that's brutal.
Man we’re not gonna hear “Todd, Todd, Todd, Todd, Todd!”
Goodell is more obnoxious than normal with this format.
Goodell trying hard, but he's as exciting as a soggy noodle.
Any injured tight ends the Lions can take at #3? or better yet trade up to #1 to take?
Enough with letting the clock wind! They know who they're picking, fucking pick him!
Agree they had how many months from the end of their season til now ?
When the draft starts they should open with the words " The first pick is blank. 2nd pic team is on the clock ."
The contract should increase as a function of the amount of time the team takes to make their choice.
Lions will take McKeon. Perfect fit!
Nice bust of yourself, Warner
A lot of former Buckeyes are about to become wealthy.
More wealthy*
