Others of note:
Joshua Garnett (#24)
Zach Banner (#38)
Yuri Wright (#51)

Weird that magnuson came down. I thought rivals had been high on him
August 29th, 2011 at 1:19 PM ^
He wasn't bad, but he wasn't anything special at 'The Opening'.
This is about how much he was expected to tumble.

I remember reading about a Nike camp or something prior to the Opening, which Rivals covered and said that he was the best OL guy there. Banner was there and they said he was better than Banner (Banner was more unpolished). I believe the OL kids Simmons Michigan mentor was one of the coaches at it and he was raving about Magnuson. As such it isn't odd he fell as much as that Banner is still ahead of him.

WHY IS THE TITLE IN CAPS?
August 29th, 2011 at 1:27 PM ^
IT'S IMPORTANT SHIT.

Kalis is the first player to be a 4-star. Pipkins was what previously - around 250? What a huge jump.
August 29th, 2011 at 1:20 PM ^
198, I believe
August 29th, 2011 at 1:20 PM ^
He was 196.
August 29th, 2011 at 1:23 PM ^
I stand corrected.
August 29th, 2011 at 2:30 PM ^
Wasn't Kalis the first outside of 5* in the previous rankings? Bit of a drag that he's still one spot away after the addition of more 5*s.

According to one of the Rivals Analysts: "Kyle wasn't evaluated this summer because he wasn't at any events -- not NIKE, Opening, Top Gun or any of the biggies and linemen often don't make huge moves during summer. He certainly has a chance for five stars in season or at Army ."
August 29th, 2011 at 1:22 PM ^
Funny, I don't see any Ohio State commits on there.
August 29th, 2011 at 1:22 PM ^
Se'von Pittman (MSU) is #80.
OSU doesn't have anyone in the top 100, but Washington is #74 and probably headed to OSU.
August 29th, 2011 at 1:23 PM ^
Did Stefon Diggs make a huge jump? He is now #8 overall and a 5*. He would be a huge commit if we could get him. Is he still considering Michigan?
August 29th, 2011 at 1:25 PM ^
He was one of Rivals' first five stars.
And we're in his top 15, but the general scuttlebutt is more pointed towards UF/Aub/formerly Miami, but I imagine the situation down there has somewhat relieved his interest in the Canes.
August 29th, 2011 at 1:26 PM ^
He was a five star ever since the list first came out. I think he is a longshot at this point.
August 30th, 2011 at 9:40 AM ^
He was #8 when the list originally came out, too.
I doubt he comes to Michigan, but we are still "under consideration." I think we made his final 15 when he cut down his list a couple weeks ago.
August 29th, 2011 at 1:39 PM ^
EVERYTHING!
August 29th, 2011 at 1:53 PM ^
Anyone know when the 250 comes out?
<br>
August 29th, 2011 at 2:12 PM ^
Tomorrow
August 29th, 2011 at 3:45 PM ^
Hmmm, how many 5 stars does rivals normally end up with?I can only assume kalis will get it with time.
August 29th, 2011 at 3:55 PM ^
A good idea would be to go back and look at Rivals' recruiting rankings through the last few years. I bet then you could figure out about how many they name per year.
August 29th, 2011 at 5:23 PM ^
I believe the average is 28.5 a year. If its not that is close to that. It's not like I actually went back and averaged it out....
August 29th, 2011 at 6:20 PM ^
I would have expected magnusson to stay put, guess not
I'm really curious to see the new 250 and see how those guys have moved, i want to know if wormley has that 4 star, ojemudia and braden were also good camp performers and i wonder if they get 4th stars, i also think that richardson might drop
August 29th, 2011 at 7:16 PM ^
i really wish rivals would do a +/- arrow for rankings when they come out like they do for their HS team rankings. like "Ondre Pipkins 4* #53 +143"

I still find it shocking to see an Indiana football commit listed as one of the top 15 players in the entire nation!
