Lots of Michigan possibilities on the list, but no commits as of yet. Just win baby.

Win and they will come. Once Dee commits, everyone else will follow suit.

MSU commit LB Lawrence Thomas #13
UM prospect RB Demetrius Hart #37
Uncommitted WR DeAnthony Arnett #58
Uncommitted DE Anthony Zettel #65

A lot more prospects from Louisiana than I remember from previous years

I would feel really good about this recruiting class if Michigan picked up Frost, Hart, and Zettel. Please please please...
Is it unusual to only have 13 five stars in a class? I know Rivals has a different amount every year. It just seems really low

Rivals always starts with a small number of 5*s, then slowly hands out more throughout the recruiting process. The number of 5*s is dependent on how "talented" they think that year's crop of recruits is...2010 was a down year compared to 2009, where there were 33 5* prospects (2010 had 26).
I believe Scout decides how many 5*s they want (I think it's 50), then goes from there.

to at least get hart and zettel out of that top 100..hopefully haha will like what he see's sept. 4th. Frost would be nice, hell they'd all be nice, win and they will come...

I think we need a "Just win" acronym. Hopefully we'll only need it for another few days, but that seems to be the answer to a lot of question in this blogsphere.
I recommend:
JBW: Just be winning
JWB- Just win baby
And of course:
ATGTWAUTAMFWRTUUVC -All the good things we are used to as michigan fans will return to us upon victorious conquests

Really at some point you have to realize they're just kind of throwing recruits in approximate positions.
"Oh that guy got much better. Put him at... uh... #27?"
Don't read too much into a 3 rank bump.
August 17th, 2010 at 2:08 PM ^
It's pretty hard to move up when you're already that high. You're doing well just to stay approximately where you are when you're in the top 50 early.

The UConn game will be a big one and if we win, then the reward will be huge!
August 17th, 2010 at 2:31 PM ^
"The other teams will make trouble for us if they win." Oh, so true.
We get off to a good start and we could see some of these dominos (Brandon pun FTW) start to fall.

Did one of our commits just earn a 3-star? I could have swore that we had two commits without star rankings on Rivals -- Posada being one of them and we had one other. Anyone? I thought it was either Fisher or Miller.
August 17th, 2010 at 2:13 PM ^
I believe it's Miller

I really hope we dominate UConn, the emotions from Brock, most likely the weather will be great and the favorable depth chart should really impress Dee and HaHa(more so HaHa) If we can win this year it will be easy pickings next years recruiting cycle. If we go 8-4 plus a bowl win I predict a top 10 finish in recruiting next year.

If I am not mistaken, Avery Walls will be there on the 4th as well.
August 17th, 2010 at 2:40 PM ^
I think you meant TOP 5 recruiting class next year.

Man, he is making me nervous. Commit already!
