New hockey sweaters?
So I'm sure you have all seen (and if you are a UM student, recieved about 5 e-mails about in the past week) that the new MGoBlue store is taking over for the M-den in Michigan Stadium. I was checking out their website when I came across these gems:

The maize 3rd's are the same as last year and obviously the template for the other two. I personally think they're a big step up overall, but I will miss the home "throwbacks" we had this past year.
What do you all think?
i also prefer the script gold jerseys from the mid 90s. the diagonal is OK, certainly not terrible. the block M look is OK, but not my fave. i'm glad i picked up a white from last year, but i need to get a number stitched on.
i guess the arched MICHIGAN is my favorite... on the blues and on the whites from last year.
i agree with you on the block m. i much prefer the diagonal michigan. but i'll take anything as long as we win
I'm not a big fan of the diagnoal at all. I miss the ties/laces at the neck--not really sure why but I always thought they were fun.
I've never liked the diagonal on the maize jerseys. The 90's version of our three jerseys were each the best uniforms I've seen in college hockey period and I wish they never changed them.
Of course, if you threaten to put a hot poker to the back of my neck, I'd say Red has good taste and In Red We Trust.
(But these will still be the best jerseys in college hockey since the rest are just... UG-LY JER-SEYS!!!)

The White throwbacks should be here to stay. Can't think of a good reason to toss those.

Man, is it just me or does the Maize on the new blue uniform look more of a mustard yellow?
Slowly, the cagers and the Buffalo Sabers will merge into one uniform.

I like the diagonal MICHIGAN, but I'm not a fan of the same look for all three sweaters. What's the deal Adidas? China not ponying up more 12 year olds to make apparel until the US makes good on all the junk bonds they were sold? You know it's a tough recession when sports apparel manufacturers are feeling the pinch.
We had a nice balance with last season's looks. Throwback whites with banner MICHIGAN, Block M blues, and diagonal MICHIGAN maize. Something for everybody. Seems like a bad marketing move on Adidas' part as you might be able to sell more sweaters if you had different designs. I agree with the consensus that last seasons throwback whites were sharp. They should have kept those.
I checked on M Den's website and they still have last year's whites in stock in limited sizes. Grab them while you can!
...based on those pictures, it doesn't look like there's any room for a 'C' or an 'A' due to the placement of the Adidas logo.
