New Ace/Brian Crystal Balz

Our team has put in a UM CB for Khaleke Hudson  and one for Rashad Weaver to Temple.

Others trending to us for Khaleke as well which is great news...

Stewart may be in. Jones? (or Johnson? Let's go with Nate - I feel confident about the 1st name) may be out. The story is still fluid...

Long and/or Hudson, Hill would add to a fantastic class.

Gary takes it from a fantastic class to a great class, maybe historic in our recruiting annals....

The future's so HARBAUGH I gotta wear shades...

Who made 2013 so great? I really believe in Harbaugh's evals more than whatever was "on paper" in prior classes. Will stick with this class being perhaps our best ever with Gary. Of course, who came with CWood in '95? They didn't have Rivals et al then, but I'm thinking any class with Woodson in it was great!

The 2013 class of 4+ stars may seem like it had a lot of guys with a surprising lack of on-field success like Green, some of those were due to:

1) long term injury (Fox, McCray, Shallman)

2) behavioral (LTT, York, Bosch)

3) OL who take time to develop or are sitting behind entrenched starters (Kugler, Dawson)

4) possibly just poor development by prior staff (Morris).

But it also has so many other invaluable contributors like Butt, Jourdan Lewis, DeVeon, Dymonte, Taco, Hurst, Delano Hill, and Stribling. Those guys were some of the heart and soul of the 2015 team. Guys like Gedeon, Poggi, and Khalid Hill will likely have greater contributions in 2016. Jury is obviously still out on many of those guys hampered by injury or development and could still make an big impact, particularly Dawson, Kugler, Shallman and McCray as they fill positions of great need. I wish we had more info about McCray but I hope his injury wasn't career-ending and he can get back on the field.

Thanks for that detailed list. I'm now POSITIVE 2016 is better, with or without Gary. But definitely far superior with! Love Butt & J. Lewis, look forward to impressive Senior campaigns from DeVeon, Taco & Dymonte, and more. But the level & sheer numbers of players coming in is gonna be a real program builder; with Gary, a potential program changer. There are some All-B1G, All-American, high draft pick type guys coming, and we don't even know for sure about Gary, Long, Hill, Hudson... I mean that's shut down dominating D type players! And what's the best thing about knowing the other team can't score? Feeling free to take more chances on O (Lloyd in '97 notwithstanding). JH is not Lloyd! That being said, Holy Shit '95!!!!!! I'll take that group anytime!

You know I'm probably wrong on this, but to me the fact the class of '13 haven't panned out as well as was projected (as a whole) TOTALLY changes how excited I am about them! And retroactively, how highly they were ranked... Because your logic allows that this class could be similarly overrated and that's simply not possible, because Harbaugh > Hoke. Harbaugh > Borges. Brown+Mattison > Hoke+Mattison. You see, I'm able to, as I said, retroactively downgrade expectations for any Hoke signees. I don't need Rivals, Scouts or 247's blessing to do so either. What I'VE learned over the past 8 years is recruiting without player development is like Bitcoins without an internet connection. Fool's Gold! And then again I'm able to retroactively give a pre-recruiting services era class of 1995 a huge bump in the class ratings that didn't even exist yet (although I do recall Sports Illustrated ranked recruits in the pre-Rivals days. Don't know how they ranked Michigan's '95 class?) I now say we won the #1 recruiting class national championship of 1995 for sure!

yeah not sure i understand the stewart recruitment - seems likely theyd only add another WR (especially a bigger, less versatile WR prospect only projected to the outside)  if they lose one of current WR commits.

but shaping up to be a rock solid class if they finish with 2-3 more of their top targets at certain spots

Someone was inevitably going to start an entire thread on this, so I thought I was just say it here so that doesn't happen. The Washington insider on 247 changed her David long crystal ball from Michigan to foggy, but it's pretty clear she is trying to get page clicks. We should still feel very confident on along

Do you have any information on Armani Posey recruitment?  Why do you think no one is recruiting the kid?  The kid might be one of the best athletes in the state and not one school is recruiting him.

I don't have any inside information on him, no. However, he has been offered by a couple of MAC schools. I've been keeping an eye on Posey for over a year now. I think one thing that may be getting in the way is that he's a real tweener of a player. He's not a QB, not very quick to be a WR/DB/RB, not big enough to be a sure-fire LB, etc. Of course, tweeners get offered all the time - like, say, Khaleke Hudson - but Posey isn't as athletic as Hudson.

I also wonder about off-the-field concerns. I have NOT heard anything that concerns me in that area, but like Sir Patrick Scott, there's something else going on if you're not taking/scheduling officials by mid-January. AFAIK, Posey has not taken any official visits, even to the two MAC schools that have offered him.

And all else will fall in line. I truly believe that. Heard Murphy cancelled his SC recruiting visit. Still likes ASU a lot as well.

ASU now has 8 different helmets for the upcoming year. And yes they are getting 8 different ones from why I've been told this week. Crazy

In the McDoom post in MGoBoard, there are a few mentions that Oregon plans on using their last scholarship(s) for defense. So Crawford won't be going there. But does he stay if McDoom commits? No idea either. I'm worthless... outside of mentioning how other people mentioned things in another post. That's value!
