NCAAW 2nd Round: Michigan vs. LSU (~7:41 tip, ESPN)
Women trying to beat LSU and make their third straight Sweet Sixteen.
Let's Go Blue! Beat LSU!
LSU has the bat shit coach right?
Not blocking out Reese, which is a problem.
The women's NCAA is on home courts!?
Top 16 seeds play at home 1st and 2nd Rounds.
We were looking good to host for a 2nd year until Phelia got hurt and Brown went on Double Secret Probation
Kiser gets Reese's first foul. She's so good.
Go Blue!
Uh, box out plz?
9 offense rebounds vs 0
got to block out.
55 looks like The Fridge
#2 looks like she has a basketball stuck to her head.
Going to be a struggle if they can body check Laila when she drives and we can't get a rebound.
(12-7 LSU after one, and we are lucky)
Cold as ice
is not paradise
Leigha also needs to find her jump shot, fast.
Let's go Ladies! Let's go Blue! 😀
Tough if they're gonna hit from way downtown.
Our offense looks atrocious
A lid on our basket.
Well, that was a disaster. Can't make anything. Brown's body language sucks so she got pulled. Not finding their shooter.
Rough start.
Yay, baskets!
Hey back to back good offensive possessions!
They have FOURTEEN more attempts than we do.
Give up double digit ORBs, that's what you get.
So they can just body check us out of the way, but it's our foul?
I couldn’t believe that call…. It’s home cooking.. just like when the men play.
Leigha hacked down before the offensive foul, I thought that's what they called.
False eyelashes is apparently a thing in WBB
More a southern thing?
This lsu team is talented, but getting too many Bone, Thugz, and Harmony vibes to appreciate them.
Can we maybe not turn right into our defender?
jump ball or reach in foul and we should be in the bonus?
Damn, Nolan's shot short.
On top of all the other disastrous things about that half, Brown is clearly favoring an ankle.
Pretty clear M is getting home-towned in this one. That isn't to say they would win this otherwise, but it's taking a game that could at least be competitive and making it unwatchable.
Injuries really cratered M's season towards the end, and they get rewarded with LSU on the road. Not much you can do about it.
Yeah, no fouls on LSU in the second quarter. I think the most ridiculous one was when Elise Stuck went flying out of the lane going for a defensive rebound that LSU got.
Leigha Brown also could have helped the cause by not doing whatever she did to get suspended, which would have helped the girls not lose to 110th Wisconsin. The NCAA (wishful thinking) could also value the third team in the NET with a 1 or a 2 seed, and not a 3 seed.
i can’t remember us playing a worse half of basketball. certainly not since KBA got here.
Some of the games against Louisville have looked similar.
Scored 15 in the 1st half @ Louisville last season.
OK, so...
Get on the defensive glass. Make any jumper.
LSU's shooting as badly as we are, but they just have like twice as many shots.
Yay, made FTs!
LSU was 29-2 and was a 3??
Michigan seems to run into one of these types of teams every year. Just appear outsized and outclassed. Not a knock, just seems like we don't have the players in these matchups
Their schedule STINKS. They beat one ranked team (Tennessee, who they lost to in the SEC tournament).
Like imagine if Gonzaga only played the WCC and didn't schedule everybody in the non-conference.
But they're in the sec... Which I thought was good, no? Or just usc?
Got a steal, Leigha finally hit, for 3. Hope she gets going.
Within 10. LFG Blue!
Shot clock violation! Now get a bucket!
