MLive article on Kevon Looney's interest in Michigan
I hadn't heard of this kid until today, but it sounds like he would be a nice get. Searched this site and found nothing but one mention.

I dont understand the hatred for Dan Dakich. He was singing Michigans praises to win the National title and he had nothing but good things to say about our recruits that we had last year.. The dude loves GR3, McGary,Staukas, and SPIKE (apparentely his dad played ball with Dakich back in the day)
The douchebaggary from Dakich is next level. I don't think his son playing for Michigan will change anything.

at some point after we made the Final Four as an example of someone who might pay attention to Michigan as a direct result of our run. He's listed with a wingspan of 7'1", which we most definitely do want.

He says he doesn't have a leader, but he mentioned Michigan first =)
Go on and get em Mr. Beilein.
Thats the beautiful thing about recruiting. A lot of these kids didn't even watch college basketball before Darius and Tim Hardaway Jr...
They don't know what the program has been through...and thank God for that =)

Yet all of these kids know all of the Fab Five, and love them.

My son plays for another high school in the Milwaukee City Conference and I have seen Looney play a couple of times. He is very athletic. Needs to put on some weight. Don't think he is 210 as mentioned in the article. ESPN lists him at 185, which sounds about right. Coach K and Coach Jordan were at one of his games in Milwaukee earlier this year. He is #7 in 2014 class to ESPN.
he seemed to be pretty quick for his size laterally but not as explosive vertically. Not sure if that holds, but its the impression i got from brief viewing.
And really what Beiliein is looking for in a 4man is a guy with guard skills and the ability to defend and box out opposing 4's. And college 4's are all different -some are wings some are bigs. So its tough to find a guy that you can use against teams that play 2 bigs without losing your identity and spacing on offense.
Will be interesting to see if either Kevon Looney or Vince Edwards is the answer to that versatile offense/post defense combination that is so hard to find.

Article includes an interview with Looney.
Does um hoops have an app?
calls Looney "supremely skilled with the game of a guard and the height of a power forward" in naming him to the all-metro team. Others on the team include Luke Fischer (2013 Indiana signee), Duane Wilson (2013 Marquette signee), and Diamond Stone (2015 ESPN # 2 and Michigan target). Milwaukee area is flush with basketball talent this year!
Looney's High schools is 4 blocks from where I live, I know Coach K from Duke was at a Hamilton game this season. Milwaukee Hamilton that is.
I think we have a shot at Looney, I do not see him staying in Wisconsin, and yes, he needs to add some weight.
Milwaukee has a ton of talent
Diamond Stone would be huge, His cousin , Ryan Evans just finished his career at Wisconsin.
Luke Fischer is a 7 Foot center from Germantown going to Indiana. Germantown has not lost a game in over 2 years I think.
Duane Wilson, is a point guard, who was teammates with Diamond Stone, and is now at Marquette !
Gonna be tough to get Stone out of Wisconsin. Wisconsin and Marquette I think have an inside edge. But if the kid wants to go out of state, Mcgary's success will be huge in showing it can be done for Big Men at Michigan !
