Mitch McGary dominates tournament
Mitch McGary's #1 ranked Brewster academy squad is absolutely destroying every team they face. From all accounts, Mitch has been even more dominant recently than he has ever been. The thing that really sticks out to me, is his motor. You rarely ever see a guy with this much talent, have this kind of motor.

With a more learned understanding of embeding, embed this video?

I'm putting this link in for those who never saw it. It's the clip of Mitch shattering the backboard at the Elite 24. If you already saw him shatter a backboard, this is the same clip. If you missed it the first few times it was posted, it's pretty darn cool . . . .

Should anyone wish to embed it, you won't be stepping on my toes, I just don't know how to do it . . .

This video looks just like when I play basketball after church with my niece and nephew.
My church has an 8 foot hoop, my niece is 17 months and my nephew is 3.

That team looks like it could make a run in the NCAA tourney.

I'm not up on the rules about early entry into the NBA. Could we lose Mitch to the pros, or do the current rules prohibit that?
December 28th, 2011 at 6:07 PM ^
You have to play at least one year in college.
December 28th, 2011 at 6:11 PM ^
Actually, you're mistaken. You have to play one year out of high school. He graduated high school last year and is now attending a prep school. He could go to the draft this year is he wanted to.
December 28th, 2011 at 8:36 PM ^
Actually you don't have to play at all - you just have to be one year removed from HS. You can spend the year watching hoops on TV if you want.

Actually, Mitch is eligible for the draft. You have to be one year removed from high school. Brandon Jennings & Jeremy Tyler both spent a year overseas before declaring for the draft.

I don't like the turn this thread is taking... Mitch will stay. He wouldn't do that to me.
December 28th, 2011 at 6:38 PM ^
He will stay because he'll want to repeat as national champs.

is that the LOI only precludes him from playing at any other schools. He can still declare for the draft. I don't think he will, but I think he could.

I wasn't aware he was turning 20 this summer.

I was thinking the same thing. I think that's TJ Warren and it looks like he's going to NC State.
