For those of us who were stuck at work and couldn't / didn't see the game....

What was the explanation for the timeout at 3 seconds right when MAAR (?) intercepted the inbound pass.  I heard the announcers saying something like the refs wanted to check the clock.  But why?  Or was it for something else?

Or did the Barca/PSG refs just decide to come do an American college basketball game too this week?
