Michigan Vs. OSU tickets 11/27

Submitted by MGoJeezy on November 21st, 2021 at 12:58 PM

It’s been a few years since I’ve posted and know there’s approximately 15000 rules to starting a thread not sure if this is allowed and I think the old ticket thread was axed?

Regardless- My Sister is a senior at UM (hasn’t gone to a game yet) and was hoping to take her and my wife to the game this weekend. Craigslist and Facebook is filled with scammers and ticket sites have $100 service charge + taxes per ticket. Looking for 3-4. They will be going to a 2 lifelong fans 1 newbie and 0 buckeyes.

Oh, and 38-35 good guys :)

My biggest hope is that Michigan season ticket holders do not sell their for extra $$ to OSU fans. Since the Tressel era began, those people come to Ann Arbor by the tens of thousands. They have occupied as much as more than half of the fans inside the stadium; at one point, ie during Rich Rod. There may have been over 100,000 of them in town for the game in which those that didn't get a ticket to attend, swarmed our local sports bars. Talk about pre-game traffic jams, wow, and it starts very early for even a noon kickoff time.

The only time I can remember the fewest number of OSU fans in A2 for the game was in 2011 when Fickell was acting HC and OSU ended up being 6-6 and was ineligible for a bowl game. BYW; Michigan won that game and I attended that one.

GO BLUE and let's reduce ohio traffic inbound this year!

The people who sell their tickets to the Bucknuts are a problem.   They invade our house like a swarm of red locusts and by the end of the game are that are left.   I would supportive of going through hoops to keep the tickets with Michigan fans.

Is there a way to know what fans you are selling your tickets to?  Very few people are going to stand outside the stadium and see what sweatshirt you are wearing before they sell their tickets.  I’m not aware that you can restrict which fans your tickets go to on stubhub.

I agree it would be nice to sell to just M fans but I’m not sure how you really know who you are selling to.  I don’t have tix but I’m curious.

Selling on/through Mgoblog is a good start.

I bought tickets last week because of a comment I made asking for 2 tickets along with my email. I get that there are no guarantees but the seller can see my profile and knows I have almost 4000 Mgopoints.

I was lucky in that he emailed me from a university email address so it made it pretty easy to see this guy wasn’t about to rip me off.

Not sure why they took the ticket spreadsheet down but it would be neat if they’d resurrect it for games like this.

The university athletic department tells you to sell on StubHub. I understand this sentiment here on this post, but there are some situations where knowing who they are sold to isn’t possible. I’m understanding.

I am also looking for 2 tickets to the OSU game. Don’t have preference on section, just want to be present and will pay well to keep them in Michigan hands. ‘12 grad looking to take my wife to her first game and support the team en route to the championship game!
