Michigan vs. Northwestern - Game Thread - 12:00 PM - Fox

Friend of the blog Jeff Niemann and his graphic designer brother Brian developed this interactive graphic/app so you can track in-game stats. The press has had something like this for years that we use to pump out interesting data during and after games. I figured you folk might want to play with it. I think if you’re on a desktop you have to use that popout icon on the bottom-right.

Unfortunately they weren’t able to make this say “M 0 0 N” like we asked, but the request is in. Go Blue!

Could we please get an explanation on how to use / read the cool new graphic?

Thanks!!

Edit: I played with it and it told me things. Interesting tool, not sure how useful compared to the usual box score stuff, but fun to look at

I’m hoping the men don’t look past Northwestern like we seemingly did Rutgers. Just take care of business today and then you can hate on MSU all week.

Hoping to see a varied run game today which involves many players and positions carrying the ball, attacking the inside and outside, on all downs and distance.  Running the ball is Michigan’s identity on offense and we have 3 of the best backs in the nation, fast receivers and a big line.  Why bother passing much if you can win with a run heavy game plan?
