Michigan visitors for open practice

Michigan hosted a good number of visitors over the weekend (LINK). A couple notes:

  • 2022 WR Antonio Gates, Jr., who's the son of NFL TE Antonio Gates. Michigan hasn't offered yet.
  • 2020 Viper William Mohan, who got a couple crystal balls for the Wolverines

To be honest, although things seem to have picked up in the last 10ish years, it's crazy how little technology has actually advanced since the 1960s. Obviously the Internet and computers have been huge, but in general the "built environment" is largely the same as it was then. Especially compared to the 50-60 years prior.

Not mentioned, but a couple very good 7&8th grade 7 on 7 teams out of Detroit also volunteered con cessions, the players got to tour a lil bit and take in the atmosphere. Some of the kids will end up with offers down the road.

What do you think of a Jonah Monheim and Mohan as prospects? Monheims offer list makes it seem like he should be rated much higher and is due to a ratings bump. Mohans tape looked like he was an aggressive tackler and pretty fast.

I like Monheim a lot. He's not an elite athlete, but he's a good athlete, he's very well coached, and he plays to the whistle. I see him more as a guard, but I think he could play tackle and not be too much out of place.

Mohan is fast and aggressive. I think he would be a good Viper. Some good players have come out of Erasmus Hall.

The coup from the weekend visitors would be getting the Brockermeyer OT out of Texas. This kid is one helluva talent-would not be surprised if he ended up being a 5*****. When a kid has a return visit this quickly that is a very good sign of interest. He and El-Hadi would make quite the OL bookends. And they should make the star-gazers very happy!

I didn’t want to start a thread for this since it’s a simple answer. I can’t find any broadcast information on the spring game his year. Is it being shown on BTN? I searched the TV guide  and didn’t see anything. Tried google, but that was no help. I don’t remember if this was already discussed.
