Michigan visitors for open practice
Michigan hosted a good number of visitors over the weekend (LINK). A couple notes:
- 2022 WR Antonio Gates, Jr., who's the son of NFL TE Antonio Gates. Michigan hasn't offered yet.
- 2020 Viper William Mohan, who got a couple crystal balls for the Wolverines
2022!? I remember as a kid in the 70s thinking about 2020 and 2030 and all of the flying cars, spaceships and time travel....
You're old... You probably still remember Bob Ufer calling games, too, don't you?!!?
Gawd, I miss him...
Did you imagine all the damn phones?
I remember as a kid in the '50s thinking that we'd have flying cars by 1967.
Looks like a giant stove top with people trapped in the middle.
Flying cars are great in theory, but it would extend the current two-dimensional carnage we have on our roads into the y-axis. Flaming flying cars dropping onto a neighborhood near you.
Just think of all of the drunks flying into your house in the middle of the night.
How about just hover then , not flying. Take care of the pothole problem. Then again, little things like braking might be hard to figure out.

To be honest, although things seem to have picked up in the last 10ish years, it's crazy how little technology has actually advanced since the 1960s. Obviously the Internet and computers have been huge, but in general the "built environment" is largely the same as it was then. Especially compared to the 50-60 years prior.
LOL Oldsmobile These people had no clue about the future.
I remember Beating osu so many times in the 80s 90s that I actually felt bad for them.
Yeah I remember making the statement, “I wish they would win once in a while to make it fun again.”
This is the opposite of fun.
If only I could go back and punch 20 year old me in the face...
Not mentioned, but a couple very good 7&8th grade 7 on 7 teams out of Detroit also volunteered con cessions, the players got to tour a lil bit and take in the atmosphere. Some of the kids will end up with offers down the road.
Hopefully this was a good chance for our Bagmen to get a foot in the door!
"I'll take a box of popcorn and a Diet Coke. Here's $500, keep the change. Go Blue!"
What do you think of a Jonah Monheim and Mohan as prospects? Monheims offer list makes it seem like he should be rated much higher and is due to a ratings bump. Mohans tape looked like he was an aggressive tackler and pretty fast.
I like Monheim a lot. He's not an elite athlete, but he's a good athlete, he's very well coached, and he plays to the whistle. I see him more as a guard, but I think he could play tackle and not be too much out of place.
Mohan is fast and aggressive. I think he would be a good Viper. Some good players have come out of Erasmus Hall.
They would also be great Game of Thrones characters with names like that.
Ser Jonah of House Monheim.
House Mohan has a Viper on its crest and the words, “solve your problems with aggression”.
Sounds like a northern house for sure. Ser Jonah would not have refused the call.
Hope he answers the call to Michigan.
That Team Up North Remembers!
The coup from the weekend visitors would be getting the Brockermeyer OT out of Texas. This kid is one helluva talent-would not be surprised if he ended up being a 5*****. When a kid has a return visit this quickly that is a very good sign of interest. He and El-Hadi would make quite the OL bookends. And they should make the star-gazers very happy!
Gates kid has a ways to go in growth both on and off the field.
Well, he is just a freshman in high school...
Yes Magnus and he still should grow but his frame is a tad different than dads.
As of right now I hope Michigan doesn’t touch him unless he cleans up the off field stuff.
Michigan's Athletic Department has a grounds crew for that.
"As of right now I hope Michigan doesn’t touch him unless he cleans up the off field stuff."
What "off field" stuff?
I'm curious as to your knowledge of a 15 year-old's off the field issues.
Do tell.
Yes, show us the Cobra14 Dossier. Are we talking golden showers here?
Mohan is going to be a good Viper. Watch the film yall.
What about Beau Brade?

Trivia Side Note-2023 will be the year Mich gets it's 1,000 win, currently at 953.Any of these recruits who sign and remain with Mich will play on that History making team.
I didn’t want to start a thread for this since it’s a simple answer. I can’t find any broadcast information on the spring game his year. Is it being shown on BTN? I searched the TV guide and didn’t see anything. Tried google, but that was no help. I don’t remember if this was already discussed.
