Michigan is joined by Kansas, Stanford, Florida State, NC State. Cleveland is the #24 player in the composite and #15 player on 247
Where is he leaning? No crystal ball predictions at this time.
I think FSU is seen as the leader rn, but apparently he's a pretty academic kid, so that could be good for us since we're the best mix of basketball and academics on his list
uh oh. future rhodes scholar.
FSU has snuck into the top 20 public U's nationally, according to US News & World Report. Gonna be some volatility in that list shortly. . .
Haha right? No FSU athlete could ever possibly be a Rhodes Scholar....

Quite the offensive skill-set is shown in his tape-as a sophomore. It is likely he will retain his high ranking as he matures and gains strength. A very high ceiling.
Anytime I see the last name Cleveland, I think of Reggie Cleveland, and thus: The Reggie Cleveland All-Stars
Tex Colorado, you know—the Arizona Assassin?
matthew cleveland, incidentally, not a reggie cleveland all-star.
lew ford, on the other hand...
Is it correct that we just offered him today? 247 timeline says that, but I thought we had been recruiting him for a while.
Nope we offered him May 2
Is everyone on Florida State's team a shooting guard - says they have 9 currently on the roster. Might not be a good fit then, they good.
Those things are always wrong. I don't think they remove a player who leaves the team or grads/goes pro. Also, they dont represent what the roster would look like when the player got to the school anyway since its always the current roster and not the roster when the recruit gets there. Its poorly done.
Examples:
UM's SG's are listed as 2 on roster, 1 commit, and its Charles Matthews, Adrian Nunez and Isaiah Barnes.
UM's PF's are listed as Hibbits, Donnal, Livers, Faulds and Johns.
Obviously, Matthews, Hibbits and Donnal are not on the depth chart...
Looking at FSU's SG's: Bell transferred. Forrest just graduated, Vassell and Williams are going pro. It looks like only Light, Savoy, Walker Polite and Jack are there. Light and Jack don't even play barely.
That’s an interesting group of schools. Stanford hasn’t done much of late, but Stanford. NC State might not be a top 5 team in their own state. Kansas is Kansas, does the whole FBI thing not scare anyone away from those underachieving cheaters....? Florida State apparently has all the guards on their roster, which seems like a lot, and they are Florida State.
Yah, that list stuck out to me as well...
Sort of similar to Chet Holmgrens list. Both only had one traditional blue blood and a lot of solid yet unspectacular programs.
FSU doesn't have 9 SG on their roster like 247 says, see my comment above.
Also, FSU is 55-13 over the past two years, has averaged 26 wins a year the past four years, and was #4 in the poll before the pandemic. Sweet 16 in 2019 and Elite 8 in 2018 and have recruited GA pretty well lately. Not sure what "They are Florida State" means here.
Seems like quite the steamer of a prospect!
