Per Red on pregame show, we'll see all THREE goalies tonight. A different one each period.
Nagelvoort, Racine and freshman Chad Catt.
He said Racine didn't have a good summer. Oy.

The Wings are down to 24 on the active roster which means Larkin is most likely on the roster for opening day.
Of course the wings still need to trim one more player from the roster to get down to 23, but they also haven't demoted Dan Cleary yet which is supposedly a done deal. It doesn't make sense that the wings would have made all their cuts today just to tease Larkin before cutting him later this week. My guess is that they are simply waiting until the last minute to give Cleary the bad news.

Don't count out Cleary. That guy has more roster-lives than a cat.

I always forget that U of T still participate in sports. I think for most of my life the U of T varsity blues went winless in football.

brought them into the B1G. Internationalize the conference, and further raise its academic profile.

Academically sure, they would be second to only Michigan in that respect. But by athletic standards they would get blown out in all sports by the likes of Rutgers and Purdue. Even with hockey U of T is an afterthought. The football team hasn’t had a winning season since 2003 and had a 47 game losing streak.
CIAU athletics have basically left the Ontario schools behind, with Quebec focusing on 3 down silly ball and the west focusing on hockey.
Don’t get me wrong seeing Michigan slaughter Toronto at Varsity stadium would be a much shorter drive for me, but it’s pretty impractical

impressed by this Toronto goalie or disappointed by Michigan's finishing.....maybe a little of both

Hockey season is so much more satisfying than football. Football is up to 15 games over just 3 months vs the hockey season which is dozens of games rom October-April

Just got back from playing football - so great to have Michigan hockey back! Really want a solid season this year, tonight's our first chance to start setting the tone for that.

This mgoblue stream is great. You can even listen to the radio guys chat during commercials. Anyone know if we'll get more of these streams during the regular season and for other sports like softball?

3-1. :( Loose puck in the slot gets put home against a scrambling Racine.

Nice, 4-1!

Rebound goal of our own, and the 3-goal cushion is restored! Offense has really come alive in the last 5 minutes or so.

Dominant 2nd period. Really enjoying the video stream, hope they keep doing this throughout the season & maybe w/ some other sports too. Could be a great way to watch some more softball. Not sure that letting us hear the radio guys chatting during commercials is on purpose, but it's funny. :)
