Michigan DL Mike Morris trained with MSU coach to prep for NFL combine

Had no clue about this coach but he certainly has a very good track record when you look at who he has helped. Hopefully, he’ll do the same for Mike and be instrumental in getting him drafted in the first round.

Lol Brandon Jordan is all hype and marketing. He trains guys who are already good in the NFL then has created a network of athletes that sustains itself. It's a smart business move, but if he was as good as he claims to be then MSU pass rush would be much better than it was. Being a college DL coach and being a trainer in the NFL for guys in the off season are not the same

Seems a bit harsh.  I don't know about hype/marketing, but as you stated he has great business acumen if he's gone from training New Orleans HS players to multi-millionaire NFL players in a few short years.  As the other article linked indicated, he had been trying to get back into coaching for years.  I'm sure he'd be the first to tell you there is a big difference between being a NCAA/NFL D-line coach and an offseason trainer.  However, plenty of former players in all sports go the way of working as a player development trainer to break into college/pro coaching... see our own head hockey coach for example.  Not going to hate on him simply for being a Sparty.

Hardly means he's "all hype and marketing" if as you say, training ppl in the NFL and being a college DL coach isn't the same. Of course it isn't the same, but he's obviously good at combine prep, which isn't training ppl in the NFL, at all. What evidence do you have that he isn't good at combine prep? Which is what he's doing here.

If this coach gives Morris the best possible chance to succeed in the league, then go for it. This is about his career and his life, and sports rivalries should always get put aside for that.

If I'm preparing for the draft, and the coach who gives me the best possible chance to get drafted in the first round is an OSU coach, and he's willing to work with me, I'm on the first plane to Columbus.

Serious answer that no one really asked for:

John Glenn Airport kind of sucks to fly out of because there aren't many long direct flights (except Seattle, oddly enough) and being right in the middle of Detroit/Cleveland/Pittsburgh/Cincy means that its flights are usually more expensive than comparable ones in those cities.  Also, because of our extreme allergy to public transportation, there's no great way to leave the airport that's not a rental car.  (To be fair, you're missing much by not going downtown)

On the plus side, if you have a domestic flight you can arrive at the airport 45 minutes prior to take-off and generally be fine.

Yeah, we as fans are wayyyyy more tribalistic about this stuff than the actual players are. For most of them the rivalry stuff is just good natured ribbing with guys they've grown up alternatingly being teammates or opponents of and who they workout with and train with in the offseason.
