Someone mentioned that the concern with maize jerseys in this environment though is that there's a small possibility of the QB having difficulty locating receivers with the background also being all maize. With how much they've been hyping up all blues this offseason, I'm guessing they could make an appearance tomorrow

I was at a bachelor party in Grand Rapids that night. One of my friends at the party had literally no interest in sports but ended up cheering his ass off when we won. It was an amazing evening! The bar we were at exploded with cheers and I'll never forget that feeling!

Speaking as someone who has attended multiple Maize Outs from smaller attendance sports where free shirts were given out, our fan base still doesn’t participate.

That is true. I would hope handing out shirts would help. That's why they hand out pom poms. I went to a Maize Out for hockey and they handed out medium shirts.
Men's basketball handed out maize shirts and blue shirts for each sections and I saw people putting on the shirts.
At the end of the day the only thing that matters is the win.

Last pom pom game I went to was (I think) 2010 vs Wisconsin and we unfortunately lost. But the upside was that I took my future wife to that game and we had an absolute blast. Ended our night at Ashleys and got to witness a drunk Wisconsin fan being forcibly thrown out of the place. Good times! Can't wait for a big win tomorrow night! GO BLUE!!!
