The bright side:
Losing to Minnesota gives us another win over a top 20 team!

The next game for MSU which was against Illinois has also been postponed. Thought they would be back playing by then because it isn’t scheduled until Saturday. Will be hard from them to make up three games.

Hopefully Eli will play tomorrow

Anybody have an update on his playing status? Sure hope he heals quickly and gets back on the court soon ?.

A pleasant surprise. With a loss that big, I expected at least some drop.
Of course the next games will tell more than a single outcome.

UM also had a blowout win over a top 10 team. I'm honestly surprised they didn't rise to 5 or 6.

Huge blowout win, and ugly loss kind of cancels itself out. I was half expecting the voters to be dumb and not weight them the same, but good to see they did the right thing.

With 350 Division I teams, the voters aren't going to scrutinize score margins that much. We beat a ranked team at home and lost to a ranked team on the road - that's all they'll notice.

And duke drops out entirely. Ya hate to see it

Seems reasonable; Michigan feels like it is a solid top 10-12 team, and honestly, at the beginning of the year, I think all of us would have considered that a darn good year 2.
They do need to clean up the TO rate though; the Minnesota game is a bit of an aberration, but I think this is one area that hasn't been very good all year.

Solid 10-12 team is seriously underrating this team. There are not 10 teams better than Michigan, even with that clunker of a game against Minny. I question if there are 5 teams better than us at this point in the season.

I did say at the beginning of the year, most fans would have been pretty happy at a 10-12 ranking; If Michigan ends up even better than that at the end of the year, that's a great result...

Last night's game was the first game in a while where Michigan didn't seem like a top 3 team.

There aren't 9-11 better teams than Michigan right now. I'd argue that there aren't 5 teams better than Michigan on a neutral-site court. Even after the beating by the Gophers, Michigan is still playing better than any team not named Gonzaga or Baylor (and *maybe* Iowa). And Michigan is definitely the best team playing the best competition. Only the Hawkeyes can argue the same.

They should. There is no way they would have gone undefeated as that is almost as impossible as going undefeated in hockey or baseball. They are a very good team and this will help the growth

That's about right.

Any word on Eli?
