Michigan 9th Most Selected to Win Championship Among NCAA Bracket Challenge Users
Some fluff as we bide our time til tip off. Nothing to surprising among the top ten when compared against KenPom and similar rankings. Nova edged out Virginia (haha) by less than a full percentage point. Xavier at 8 still seems high to me.
Top ten as follows:
RANK | TEAM | PICKED TO WIN TITLE |
---|---|---|
1 | Villanova | 14.60% |
2 | Virginia | 13.73% |
3 | Duke | 9.14% |
4 | Kansas | 7.98% |
5 | North Carolina | 6.98% |
6 | Mich. St. | 6.45% |
7 | Arizona | 4.10% |
8 | Xavier | 3.48% |
9 | Michigan | 2.92% |
10 | Purdue | 2.16% |
Full list here tho every team from 14 (tennessee) on is under 1%
And a great team. Surprised we weren't in the top 5
Surprised MSU isn’t up here, according to the media he has never lost a game after March 1 each year.
I meant to type up higher, on mobile can’t edit.
Well, in all fairness, Izzo has won like 5 or 6 national Championships at MSU, right? I mean, there’s gotta be a reason it’s “...February, Izzo, Izzo, May...”, right?
Every year the armchair radio bracket analysts pick MSU. Every year. It's amazing listening to the same thing season after season.
They can have that, I guess. They get the talk radio attention, we field the better teams? I'm good with it.
His teams lead the country in floor slapping = more determined = best teams, right?
They look like this when they do it
Surprised so many picked Virginia. Not that I saw last night coming, obviously, but they just haven't been a good tourney team under Bennett. I know sometimes coaches turn the corner, but I wouldn't bet on it until proven otherwise (I had them going down to Cincy in the Elite Eight).
Same, and I’m surprised how little love the Bearcats are receiving.
They beat basically no one all year. shouldn't be surprising no one expects them to beat a bunch of good teams consecutively.
Well we know now that 6.45% of fans have never seen MSU play.
That poor 13.73 percent...
01/13/18
UM 82, MSU 72
03/03/18
UM 75
MSU 64
Most selected to win championship
MSU #6
UM #9
It’s their pedigree and I’m okay with it. It’s the same reason Michigan football will always, ALWAYS get more love and respect than MSU football.
Purdue is my pick, Michigan is in the finals, that will be a strong heart felt game. 1,438 dolla or MICH national champs...........hmmmmmm a man can dream!
13.73% of people watched the Virginia-UMBC game, burned any paper copies of their bracket which might have existed, drank all the beer in the fridge and passed out on the sofa. They woke up this morning still furious at Tony Bennett the singer, many of them not realizing that this is also the name of Virginia's coach.
on ESPN as one of my tourney brackets, and he picked Mchigan to win the championship, the very reason I picked it. Got Michigan winning in three of four other brackets. So, I guess I pushed the perentage for the Wolverines.
Under the radar. Onward to victory!!!
Well, we are a 3 seed, so, yeah.

The fact that some of our players average 52% at the free throw line is maddening

They aren't playing good enough to win this tournament.
