Much like items on the menu at a coney island restaurant, there are too many polls now...
September 6th, 2016 at 2:30 PM ^
While I would agree, at the very least, this is not the Coaches Poll, the one among the bunch where the question may as well be - "Please rank the entirety of Division I NCAA Football in order from purple to spatula".
Some of them make at least some sense anyway, even if some of them are little more than hot takes in rank-order form.

Fair point regarding the number of polls. But why on Earth would one need to look at the menu at a Coney Island restaurant?
I mean, you can tell the beverage choices by looking at the soda fountain, amiright?

There is a "detroit style pizza" place here in Florida that makes a good Buddy's knockoff, everyone who tries it thinks it's good in the reviews but other reviews rip them for their wings or cheese sticks. So they make an awesome Buddy's style pizza but are ripped apart for wings

Until I moved to Denver. Is that a real thing?

I would straight-up murder someone in exchange for a 24 hour Detroit-style Coney Island place in Seattle.

Michigan is still third best in their Big Ten division and thus not even in the same category as Iowa.

I heard #5. You should probably start a thread about it to be safe.

I think you just launched a few missles with all of that computer code you just input.
September 6th, 2016 at 3:19 PM ^
I really should use HTML tables, but I'm just a novice with web coding.
September 6th, 2016 at 3:35 PM ^
Thanks for the reformatting. Interesting look at the schedule after week one.

There is always a tool for that.
http://www.had2know.com/computers/csv-to-html-table-converter.html
And if R is your thing:
There is the `xtable` package: https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/xtable/xtable.pdf
Rule of thumb: If you are thinking about coding by hand, see if there is a tool first.

I'm an old school guy, who grew up with Apple II's and I graduated the year the IBM PC was released in 1981. I still like my Smith Corona typewriter for writing papers. I am familiar with R and HTML, but I learn gradually. Web coding is at best a hooby for me.

A bummer that FSU gets so much credit for falling behind such a crappy team and then beating them. But it is ESPN afterall.
September 7th, 2016 at 4:40 AM ^
Crappy team? They have beaten Alabama 2 years in a row.
When they're on, they're great.
September 6th, 2016 at 5:27 PM ^
I get that this is all pointless, but I would be curious as to why some people jumped Houston in front of us but not OSU. If Houston jumped both fine they had a much more impressive win, but as far as I'm concerned Michigan and OSU did basically the same thing this weekend in terms of "power rankings."
