Michigan a 3 seed in the West

Submitted by Supa Hot Fire on

Love me some Xavier as the 1 seed. Love to have 2 seed UNC. Sets up perfectly to avenge the ugly game in Chapel Hill earlier this year. Couldn't have been much better other than MSU getting to play in Detroit and Michigan being stuck in Wichita. So pumped for Thursday, Go Blue!

Two of the four "experts" picked UM to go to the championship game, but losing to Villanova.

UM & Beilein seem to be getting some respect from national media.

I'd bet my house the winner of Michigan/UNC reaches the final four.

Tar Heel fans better be ready.  This isnt the same UM team the Tar Heels played four months ago.  UM is red-hot, playing better D, is loaded with confidence, won its conference tournament AND the new game with UNC will be on a neutral court (gigantic.)

I like Michigan 77-73 over UNC during the sweet sixteen.

I dont have a problem with our bracket at all. Looking at msu's first two games is a cakewalk. Considering they have the kuxury of playing in Detroit, i think they should've drawn houston as the 6 instead of TCU. But oh well.

I feel like it would be a cool app if you could buy tickets to the 1st or 2nd weekend, and then trade them with the fans of other teams once you find out where your game is. That seems like it would work.

Espn guys, not one of them on the show (J Will, Bilas, Greenwood, Reese Davis, Dickie V) had Duke or UNC in elite 8. All of the above had Zags vs. UM out west. Could happen, crazy all of them picked it. A couple had UM in final 4, none in title game. Seems 2-3 picked msu to win it all.

I have us in the title game.

I’m interested in knowing, and someone likely already has the Data ready to analyze-

But are our four consecutive wins in the BTT more difficult/impressive than what we would accomplish to win the first four in this tourney, even if we faced the best team at each stage?

I’m curious how these situations compare.

So help me with this.  We get a #3 seed in the West.  Now follow along.  We beat Purdue in the Big 10 title game; paddled their asses for matter of fact and they got a #2 seed in the Midwest even though they didn't win the regular season or conference tournament titles.  Then you have over rated Sparty a #3 seed and basically a home game in the Midwest as well.  Sparty in the last 2 tournaments has been grossly over seeded.  I hope they both choke while Michigan breezes to the West Region title and a title game against Villanova.  Yes folks, Michigan vs Villanova for all the marbles.  GO BLUE!!

I would maybe go to Wichita excepting that I am currenttly scheduled to guide with a kickass snowcat operation on the Continental Divde of Colorado?  For those that appreciate such a dilemma I just simply say GO MOTHERFUCKING BLUE!!!!  Bring it Ullr.  I feel it. COME ON TEAM!!!!  Fuck yes.  What is life withiout passion?  Find it.  So much gratitude for it's presence everywhere right now...so fortunate.  We all have our moments.

Fucking one possession at a time.  It happens.

Watched every moment of tournament analysis I could find last night.  Some things I learned:

Virginia, Cinncinnati, Gonzaga (yes Gonzaga), Michigan, Villanova, Purdue, Kansas and Sparty are definitely the favorites to reach the elite 8.

My final four: Viginia, Michigan, Villanova and Michigan State.

I have Virginia defeating Villanoa 64-60 to win the whole damn thing.
