Well, you have to give them time then - they only added football in 2010, after all, and they are only now considering getting back into basketball after its sudden dissolution a couple years ago. I am sure they will get back to us on hockey and baseball - they'll begin playing those as soon as they can find the right coach.

You're close here, but a little off. Let me explain...

Accoring to the "Book of D'Antonini," college football as a competitive national sport began in 2008. Before that, it did not exist, for all intensive porpoises. Anyone who remembers college football before 2008 is "living in the past" and is unable to face new realities. However, I have a feeling that fairly soon, it will be decreed by the Spartan faithful that college football ended in 2015, and anyone who remembers anything after this date has forgotten the most vital part of the past.

In sum, college football existed from 2008 to 2015, and was not played at any other time in human history. The end...

It really is an amazing stat. And Michigan consistently puts out Olympic athletes and non-major sports who compete at the highest levels. Plus, they do this all while being one of the best colleges in the world.

Would you be counting Michael Phelps even though he only a handful of classes and never swam competitively for any Michigan team? I know some Arizona State fans are starting to counting him as their own after that whole "Curtain of Distraction" thing.

And the ones that don't get drafted are on the course to be leaders and impact their communities.  That's what I love about hearing what recruits say when they visit Michigan.  It's not just about football (or other sport).  It's about family, education and other interests.

Not the best public university in the world for nothing.
