Ok, first: who cares? Second: he's not losing his medals. Third: the British don't even pay attention to British tabloids, especially not the ones run by Rupert Murdoch.

Not to toot my own horn too much, but I used to live in London (greatest city in the world, IMO). Yes, the tabloids have a viable presence there, but what I meant was the content of the article, in particular where they wildly speculate that he would lose his medals-- no one should take that seriously.

Uhhh, if that's not him, I'm smelling a nice little law suit. Hopefully one that eats up Murdoch's fortune and forces him to shut down everything in an effort to pay Phelps.

It wouldn't cause him to lose his medals. What it would do, however, is cost him his $100MM endorsement deal with Visa. Now that would be killer.

yeah, this actually does look like him. and it most likely is him. fwiw the few times i saw him out he was blacked out. and the best part about it, is that nothing will happen and nothing should happen. but, better question. why the hell does the British media give a shit about our olympic athletes? i can't name even one of theirs.

Whoever took this picture and released it to the media is a douchebag. Marijuana is illegal. Therefore, nobody should smoke it. But seriously, why would someone at a party take that picture and then release/sell it to the media other than pure, unadulterated greed? If I were Michael Phelps, I'd find the person, drag him to the bottom of the ocean, and then see which one of us could make it to the surface before drowning.
