Michael Cox to UMass
Yes, there were. He's not an angel. But was he wrong for disliking Rodriguez? Eh...I dunno.
The issue isn't whether he was wrong for disliking Rodriguez, the issue is whether he was wrong for expressing his feelings in a semi-public forum (especially in such a childish and vulgar manner).
Also, a dude named "Cox" is the last person who should be making penis jokes about other people's names.
I agree completely. I don't think he should have said/wrote what he did. All I'm saying is that it was a 20-year-old kid expressing his frustration with the outgoing coach, a guy who lost a bunch of games, brought shame (whether deserved or not) on the program, and played a mediocre running back (Vincent Smith) ahead of some other guys who arguably deserved a shot at the RB job (including Cox).
In the grand scheme of things, writing "Dick Rod" on a Facebook wall is a relatively minor offense compared to the legal issues that many college players get into (Marvin Robinson, Kenny Demens, Kevin Grady, Darryl Stonum, etc.).

Might have missed this earlier, but can someone enlighten me on how Cox is going to be eligible this season? If Umass is playing in the MAC this season, then he would be transferring within FBS football (one year sit out period).
I understand that he can go the graduate school route and take a major that "is not offered." I just have a hard time believing that he can somehow find a decent grad school program that Umass has that Michigan doesn't offer?
Good move for him. Back to his home state and should get some playing time. Hopefully starting right away, against us.
Dateline this fall: Revenge is a dish served cold...by Mike Cox, who's erect running style penetrated the interior of the Michigan line for 23 hard earned yards, in a 55-3 drubbing at the Big House.
I might have to go to some ZooMass games in the fall.

I guess him transferring to a school we play this year wasn't a factor since he couldn't read a playbook in the first place. I wonder if he picked up on the terminology of the offense and defense enough to make it a pain in the butt when we play.
