Message board fans

Submitted by MichFan1997 on
In my experience on the the Michigan Internets, I have finally settled on this board as my board of choice. The fans here are more like me, they are less insane, and we have great access to stuff within the program (Tom, Brian)...My question. Is there a message board you go to that you absolutely cannot stand? I used to enjoy mlive, but the more I'm here, the more those people just seem like giant douches. The ESPN Michigan fans are pretty brutal too. Thoughts?

I don't post on ESPN but occasionally read their threads. It seems like those boards love flame wars and talk out of their asses more than anywhere else.

I don't want to sound bitter, but this is the only Michigan board I can stand. And I even get annoyed with this one sometime when people go nuts with the knee-jerk reactions.

Dude, mlive is completely worthless, it has more trolls from MSU, PSU, and OSU than any intelligent posts. I was stuck there unitl I found this site, I think mgoblog is the best one around.

The Detroit Free Press comments section, while not really a message board bugs the hell out of me. ESPN is full of people that generally have no idea what they are talking about. I used to post at umgoblue.com a little, but the way that the admin of that site has treated some posters in the last few weeks has helped me decide to not go there anymore. He doesn't need to get paid for my ad hits. Pretty much, its mgoblog for me. Brian is always at least as informed as mainstream media is, and sometimes has scoops before anyone else. Brian has the track record that I trust. TomVH has provided some nice info so far. I still am kinda letting him build a track record before I believe his every word like I do Brian's, but its getting there. Mention also must be made of gsimmons and the WLA guys for their insight that makes this a great site. Just last week I had a friend that is an M fan that was amazed at some of the recruiting stuff I am up on, and some of the stuff that is explained in UFR. I told him that mgoblog.com was pretty much the one-stop spot on the web for M football. The boards here are ok. Honestly the format kinda seems clunky to me, but most posters seem to not have their heads up their asses. Oh, and umhoops for basketball is a good stop.
