Men's basketball season ticket renewal starts today

Basketball season ticket renewal starts today.   The ticket office is offering prizes (via drawing) for early renewal.  Thinks like comping your tickets, courtside tickets to a game, admission to a postgame press conference.

They must be a bit concerned about interest in season tickets for next season.

How many of you are planning to renew?   Any of you buying season tickets for the first time?   And are some of you not renewing?

I am a fairly long-term season ticket holder and offered up my $$ today to renew.   Will let you know if I win the opportunity to sit next to Juwan for a game.

I am definitely renewing! I also just renewed my “get kicked in the groin three times a week” tickets a few days ago!

I will be renewing.  Not even a second thought.  I'm a fan of name on the front of the jersey, and it hasn't changed in the entire time I've been a ticket holder.

We're renewing. The program badly needs support. I'm not saying it's owed or even necessarily deserved. The last two years have been painful. But even before that, I felt like the Crisler crowds lost their steam after 2014. 2012 through 2014 presented some magical moments while the football team was ass, so it makes sense that alongside a terrible 2015 basketball season we would see a decline in support afterwards. But when the hoops program rebounded in late '17 through, well Covid I guess since that nuked all crowds, I felt like we rarely got those 100% packed houses with constant energy that we would occasionally see in the Burke/Stauskas era. "Sellouts" to this day have 1/3 of the lower deck littered with empty seats throughout and often close to half of the student section's upper deck.

So... Given my general complaints, it feels like it would be more than a bit hypocritical to jump ship. And I am genuinely passionate about Crisler's atmosphere improving and want to be a part of that. I've also learned to enjoy the event more than caring about the result. Even if we lose a heartbreaker, I got to watch a ball game with family and I'm blessed to be able to do that.

I’m debating it.  I usually go to about 6-7 hockey games in addition to all the basketball games but now I’m considering doing the opposite, if hockey offers new season tickets, grabbing those and just going to a few hoops games.
