MBB Snowflakes and Looking Forward to Wisconsin

Submitted by Generic MGoBlogger on

Not a bad showing today although we looked very inconsistent at times.  The defense was very inconsistent allowing a very average Penn State team to battle back into what should have been an easy blowout.   With that, the offense did disappear at times only to come back and display some serious potential in the team.  I'm hoping John B makes the necessary adjustments on defense and offense so that we can compete well with Wisconsin... I'd love to see some zone.

coming off a loss to IU is the perfect time for Michigan to play them.  They were simply lucky last year and I watched them (ok - flipped back and forth) lose to Indiana.  They had zero answer for penetrating guards, so best to keep our centers on the high post.  The offense looks like early Beilein at Michigan with the guards shooting more 3's than I can remember.

I'm looking at rebounding and FT's to be the keys to unlock a huge road win.

Sorry if I missed it, but can anyone help direct me to a link to watch last night's MBB game? I had a work commitment and I didn't get to see any of the game...

A tough road ahead in the next 3, with 0-3 very possible. I think 1-2 would be "good" (with the home date vs. Iowa our best shot at a win) and 2-1 would be extremely good.  3-0 seems fantasy.

but the best part of that UW-IU game last night was when Ben Brust missed the buzzer-beating 3-point shot that would have tied the game. I was at the Kohl Center last February when he made that half-court thing that tied the game against M ---  and which game M lost in OT.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
