Getting better coaches at these mid/lower tier Big Ten teams will weaken teams like msu.

Rutgers getting a decent coach makes MSU worse?
O.k., how does that work?

I mean Rutgers played msu even with a fill in coach.
Minnesota, Purdue type schools were all better than msu once they had at least respectable coaches.

5 national titles in less than twenty years. And Butch Davis could have made it a fifth different coach if the BCS system hadn't been so fucked up (#2 in AP and Coaches poll in 2000 but did not get a chance to play for the national title).
And they did it with the same shitty facilities and lukewarm fan support.

In his 15 years or so at Georgia, Mark Richt had one "losing" season: in 2010 his team went 6-7, which included a Liberrty Bowl loss to Central Florida. This year's regular season record was 9-3, which included a win over archrival Georgia Tech.
So at Georgia, Mark gets fired after a 9-3 season. If he goes to Maryland and compiles a 9-3 record, they'll put a statue of him outside the football stadium.
