Maize Rage looking good

meant to post this last night ... so the Maize Rage held its mass meeting last night and was blown away with about 115 people attending the meeting (which is a ton when we excpected 70ish and a normal weekday meeting drew about only 10-15 guys last yr) thou it might of had to do with the (gulp) free pizza plus Coach Beilein doing a Q + A Beilein mainly just talked about how excited he was for the upcoming season and thanked the students for the growing support. However he did talk about how he felt this was one of his toughest schedules ever and made an interesting comment about trying to bring in 1 top-5ish non-conference team to Crisler every yr Either way even with the football team going strong, I'm already getting pumped for basketball Also, if your interested I think the daily was doing a write up on the meeting plus the crowd in general today thou I haven't checked if its out yet Go Blue (edit: also Beileim loves the pumped in music at the football games fwiw and says he wants input from students on the songs for basketball season thou he says a balance with the band playing too is also important)

Some clown asked Beilein about Zeigler by name when he was addressing a group of fans before the UConn game last year. For anyone thinking of doing something like this, please don't. There are two plausible outcomes. The far more likely is that he won't answer the question, will give you a stern look, and you will look stupid. The other is that he does somehow slip and commit a violation by talking about the recruit before he's signed. You're still not going to get any real information, but you've potentially hurt the team and the recruit.

this was one of his toughest schedules ever? i looked and couldn't find one that was even close. we're really challenging ourselves.
