Made by science?

So I was watching the WVU vs. Louisville game from last year and Owen Schmidt shanks a pooch punt, comes to the sideline, RIIIPS off his helmet, and then slams it into his own forehead repeatedly. And I'm thinking.... uuuuuuuhhhhhh..... uncontrollable aggression - check, walk-on nobody turns into professional athlete - check, serious suspicion of steroids - check and check.

I'm not trying to say anything about RR or Barwis, and I could be totally wrong, but I'm not naive about professional sports and many suspicions have been confirmed before. Barry bond, roids. Sammy Sosa, ROIDS. Mark Mcwhatthefukshisname, roids, roids roids. Nebraska during the 90's, MSU during the 80's, East germany, cornroids, tony mandaroids, and shemale roids. If I'm going to call Brett Favre 'grandparoids' for having his best statistical year in his final year when the rest of his draft class have wheelchairs or walking sticks, I gotta mention schmidt.

He is a beast, great story, he made a bonehead play and maybe he doesn't have much sensitivity left up there from taking hits everyday in practice. So it could all just be explainable, and a brief moment of overreaction. But 2+2+2 adds up to a lot of eyebrow cocking.

Anyway, hope I'm wrong. It just reminded me of lattimer

Yeah, but I've never seen Barry Bonds beat himself up with his batting helmet. I'm pretty sure Owen Schmidt is just nuts or maybe roids + nuts.

I am nearly 100% positive that every single D-I team has at least one kind that's using PEDs. So I wouldn't be shocked.

barry bonds' steroid use has never been confirmed (to the best of my knowledge). schmitt is the only person on that team that was crazy like that. he's just nuts. why? do you really think barwis would be giving professional players steroids? of course not but they've been getting the same results as the players on the team. no steroids

I don't think many coaches in D-1 would ever give their players steroids because it would instantly be 10 times worse than any booster/money under the table scandal if it got out. However, that doesn't stop players from acquiring them on their own. I agree with chitownblue that every D-1 team probably has at least one player that's on roids. All the big-time BCS schools, including Michigan, probably have more players than that using them as well.

Never been confirmed? Factually yes, but to make that argument.....I'm gonna go shoot up some HGH so my cranium grows 3 or 4 hat sizes and then maybe I can get my head around it.

"it's never been factually confirmed" - am I missing something? Didn't Bonds testify to using steroids under the impression it was "flaxseed oil" (that's a whole topic unto itself)? I'm really sick of the steroids witch hunt, and I never really cared all that much about it in the first place, but let's call a spade a spade.

As for Schmitt, maybe. However, with the cat and mouse game of drugs and drug testing, I'd personally be surprised if more than a handful of NCAA athletes are using. Maybe I'm just naive.

"For the record, ______ has never been a confirmed steroid user" is a defense in their favor. Has McGwire or Sosa or Favre either? Sorry, I wasn't trying to be a dick, it just cracks me up when people try to defend Bonds.

Yeah, I think Bonds did own up to using steroids, but claimed that, at the time he was juicing, he thought he it was putting "flaxseed oil" in his body.

Right. And about Schmitt - whatever. It's irrelevant at this point. The only thing I was trying to say is this: I'm sure that there are a number of D-I college football players on roids. Schmitt was a D-I college football player. Thus, there's a chance he was on roids. That's all.

i don't think schmidt is on roids. that being said, when i saw that it reminded me of the guy from the program breaking all the windows in the parking lot
