...Michigan is going to stay number 1, way to bounce back from the loss.
but who knows what the polls will do! Losing to CU should drop them rightly out of #1, but then beating #2? Do Chapman, Arizona, Oregon move up?
In any event, good to know they could bounce back from their first loss in forever.
Looking forward to a detailed breakdown of the weekend!
... CSU, BYU, duluth, oregon, and ASU all lost to michigan. thats every team in the top 7 except champman, but they lost last week to oregon. I think UM will stay number 1
The fact that they only have one loss, and have the best win of anyone in the country (outside of CU, of course) should be enough to keep them at #1.
...it should have little to no bearing on the tournament. They'll have to play most of the same cast of characters in any event.
...good team: come back strong immediately after a tough loss. With the ridiculously long win streak, I don't think anyone was sure how they would react. Great to see the team stepped up to the challenge and secured the win agains CSU.
Michigan is the best team in all of club varsity lacrosse and has been for several years now. It's pretty clear cut. A loss to a team like CU brings their record to, what, 48-1?
I don't think that Michigan could have had a better rebound win after their first loss since 2008. Should be an easy win next weekend against Purdue and then the following weekend will be huge game against little brother, who is having a very good season.
