LSSU hockey player suspended for hit on Hunwick
I just saw this pop up on twitter. Andrew Perrault was suspended for one game for "delivering an illegal hit to the head of [Hunwick]" at the "19:08 mark of the second period".
I had thought Hunwick was out because he took a slapshot to the helmet but maybe this added to it too. Did anyone see this live?

This was from the Saturday game. I'm assuming it was the hit on Guptill.

Yep, I was there -- that was the hit on Guptill that knocked him out of the game.

But of course the refs neglected to call something on the ice... I know Michigan's PP isn't exactly good this year, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while and we could have used those points.
And I do remember thinking during the first two periods on Friday that LSSU was targeting Hunwick quite a bit and taking every opportunity to run him. I don't know if they were trying to get a reaction ala NMU from him, or were trying to knock him out because he's tiny, or if it "just happened" but I did not like that.

Well, he took a shot to the mask. I highly doubt the guy who took the shot (which was from the blue line) was aiming for Hunwick's mask, but I was pissed that the refs didn't call the play dead immediately (they got another shot off).

was mostly incidental, I don't think you can really blame a guy for taking a shot. But all before that, there were more than a few times when Hunwick took some pretty big hits from LSSU players without leaving the crease.

I think the freep's twitter said it was for Hunwick. That makes more sense
