A look to the future - CJ Carr
Something light for a Friday evening. To those who don’t know, Carr is Lloyd Carr’s grandson and a top 100 player by 247’s super early 2024 rankings. I thought it was cool to see him throw a TD in the big house. Here’s hoping that he has many more of those lined up for him in the future.

Was this a game or some sort of scrimmage?

It’s a game. Saline (Carr’s team) is playing Hudsonville. According to Holland’s Twitter, Carr has 3TDs and 2 INTs in this game so far

Grandpa Lloyd would smile at the TDs but frown at the INTs.

TREMENDOUS.

Also, frown at the way he had visually locked on to the receiver the entire time. Perhaps contributes to the interceptions.

Hard to tell, but that looked like an effortless 30-40 yd flick of the wrist.

I think CJ throws better than the college senior version of his dad (Jason, a former UM QB), who could surely throw better than the average HS QB.

that he is old enough to have a recruit has me now weeping in a corner into what's left of my hair
so thx y'all

One way to compete vs OSU is to get McCarthy, Moore, then Carr.

Moore feels like it will be a tough battle to win.

Moore's recruitment has been remarkably quiet for such a high profile recruit right in the backyard.
All. the recruiting analysts seems to maintain Michigan is right at the top of his list, but the vibes coming from that recruitment seem pretty luke warm at the moment.
Hopefully things heat up as the season and game day visits begin, if not it would appear he is a considerable flight risk.

Yea the only thing I've heard is that there was some tiff about him not talking to Matt Weiss for a while, but he has continued to visit over the summer and will surely be hanging around campus this fall. I think the good news is thus far Moore hasn't shown much interest in leaving the Midwest. OSU may push hard for him after Ewers reclassified up, and ND, PSU, and MSU all really want him.

Man let’s hope Lloyd likes whoever is the coach then….

Same guy that trained JJ has trained CJ and doesn’t think there are 5 better QBs than CJ in his class.

I've met this kid a few times, and he's literally the nicest kid ever, too. His parents are the best.
I'm not sure we could script a better story than to have Lloyd Carr's grandson - and Chad Carr's brother - leading us back to glory. (Or KEEPING us on the track to glory.)
You also have the storyline that Jason Carr, his dad, was ahead of Tom Brady on the depth chart during Brady's freshman year.
C.J. is only a sophomore and he's throwing three TD's a game for a power program like Saline. This kid needs to be No. 1 on our board for every reason.
