Let's revisit an old thread: "What are your real expectations if we get Harbaugh"?
1. A lot that said Hoke recruited well and that Harbaugh shouldn't have too much trouble early on
2. A lot of "Big Ten title and playoff appearance by year 5 as he had Stanford to 12-1 in four years
3. Beat OSU 50 percent of the time and get back on even footing with them
4. Have the roster fully stocked
5. Develop NFL QBs
So after 5 years one of those has happened I guess...the first one. Do with it what you want.

I thought Harbaugh was hired to coach the football team.
I don't agree that he was hired to win a national championship. I think any school that puts a clause to beat a certain team in the coaches contract should get the death penalty. Same goes for escape clauses. They are for show and sending the wrong message.
I would send my child to any school that will make them a better person and for football maybe get to the pros. I was going to go to Michigan but they can't beat OSU doesn't sound like rational behavior. Playing with a chip on their shoulder might be worthwhile.

Yeah I wanted 12-1 sure.
But he's had a pretty decent run. Just not elite.
I wasn't expecting the coaching and QB turnover
And the 2 year mental check out he did there in the middle

I don’t think anyone considered the fact that OSU has online courses.

LOL, I said in that old post that in Harbaugh's first 5 years he would beat OSU twice and win a NC in his 5th season. Looks like we are not even close due to recruiting. I was under the impression having such a big hire like Harbaugh that we would get top 5 classes and everything would fall into place. Who knows what Harbauh's next 5 years will be like? May be he wins one game against OSU, wins one B1G and makes the playoffs but gets beat by Clemson, Alabama or LSU. I feel sad after the first 5 years but I still want Harbaugh as our coach.
