Legend Jersey patches are no more
Noticed this during the Spring Game Saturday. Hackett said they were evaluating the Legends program as a whole.
It looks like it will be something completely different now that most likely does not involve the numbers being worn.
The Gerald Ford patch wasn't there on Desmond Morgan's jersey. #48 on its own.

They never have removed them for spring games.
"They" who is this "they"? As far as I know, there's been a regime change. The they from last year aint the they from this year. I am not saying that the patches have not been completely removed, just that your logic is faulty.
"does not involve the numbers being worn"...
Morgan is still wearing the jersey. He may or may not have a patch when the season starts. Regardless, you're jumping to conclusions on what may or may not be the exact nature of the Legends concept based on a single practice from a new coaching staff. Maybe just wait (I know it's crazy to actually have patience) until there's legitimate information instead of trying to be FIRST to note something that you don't have a good factual basis for saying, just for some sort of BS "first to post" credibility you think it might give you.

They did say yes to stickers, but as its linked in the OP, they were evaluating the Legends program. I think that folks around the blog were assuming that it meant the end of them, but nothing official was announced until today, apparently.

In the past they have had the patch on the PRACTICE jerseys, so yeah, this is a change.
No thank yous required... just trying to do my share.
Concur. Simply put they were just to big.
(no, that is not what she said)
A giant number on a skybox would be better. Put all the old numbers back into circulation if you want. Or if a player wants to switch to the #1 or #2 or #47, let them do it, but without the patch. People in the stands can't see the patch anyways, and its still too small on TV to make any sense for the casual fan. But, have a big ol' #2 Charles Woodson on the side of a giant skybox, and the next time Blake Countess makes a big play, its super easy to have the director and camera guy to cut to a shot of that sign on the skybox afterwards. Plus, the people in the stands can look up at any time, and see a big ol' #2 on the building and say "fuck yea, Charles Woodson was awesome."
And yes, I know Woodson's number isn't retired. But it should be. He was fucking awesome.
Woodson will be honored as soon as he hangs up his (freaking awesome) cleats.
...and I have a problem with your verb. Change "was" to "is" and you will be accurate.

We will run out of 2 digit numbers due to retiring stars' numbers.

It looked OK? Did you just not notice how the away jersey patch didn't blend in with the jersey?
Blue patch, blue jersey. White patch, white jersey. Apparently logic didn't rue the day.
Ugly no matter how you cut it.
I never really noticed, was paying attention to the games not their uniforms. You are right though they didn't mesh well on the road jerseys, but isn't that the point of a "patch" or whatever to stand out.
I thought it was a cool idea done with a gaudy patch. If they had done a small block M with the guy's name underneath it, it would have been neat.
I posted about this during the Spring Game.
But, really, it doesn't mean a damn thing until toe meets leather in September. Because it's practice with a crowd.
