Kevin Grady jailed for probation violation
Probably the end of the long and storied career of Mr. Grady.

Your title and statement could not be more true. Just a series of bad decisions (that drunk driving incedent was in my backyard, and it was really bad what he was doing, where he was, etc.) coupled with an awful case of fumblitis, and he added more fuel to the "recruiting rankings don't matter because _____" argument. Just a sad, sad story.
Did you read that "gowm" comment in the comments section? Jesus what the fuck? What do you want Rich Rod to do? Follow him around, constantly beep him and hound him on where he is and what he is doing? The guy is a senior in college and an adult. Rich Rod, his parents, the academic support staff, etc etc etc have nothing to do with Grady acting like a complete idiot.
Grady got a second chance and he screwed it up badly. I am no angel and probably could have been busted for a DUI a few times, but I promise you that if I did get arrested I wouldn't violate probation in a million years.
This is entirely on Grady and no one else should be blamed.
Anyways, serious question... what does this do to our depth chart?
He was definitely behind Minor and Brown and likely behind Shaw as a tailback, and Moundros is the starting FB. He probably would have been used occasionally in short yardage situations or 2 back sets.
Well, there goes our back up full back and 3rd or 4th string running back. This probably won't do too much, or any damage, but I was interested to see what he could do in short yardage situations.
was holding out hope (far fetched, sure) that this would be the year grady would finally lived up to his sizable potential. good luck, kid
Potentially less I-Formation than perhaps planned. That was really the only time Grady got multiple carries.
now kevin can contribute to the trend of 5 star recruits from 2005 being more likely to get arrested than drafted.

that RR won't give him another chance (I'm not saying that he necessarily deserves one, but asking)?
Is he booted from school?
I guess Grady's at Michigan weren't meant to be.
bring him a cake tonight, with a file in it
i unfortunately must say, i'm not surprised in the least bit.
....anything Grady was going to do this year, Moundros can do. I don't think Coach Rod will be affected that much by this. The depth chart now reads:
Minor
Brown
Shaw
V. Smith
M. Cox
That's not too bad, with Hopkins and another guy coming in next year.
u forgot toussaint
....good catch. And how did I forget Potempa?
we don't have the most talented tailback in the country, (that I know of so far, who knows), but thats a heck of a group of RBs right there. lets hope what happened to mcguffie doesn't happen to smith and toussaint so that they will be really effective in a couple years when they replace minor and brown.
What is it that Homer Simpson says???
Alcohol, the solution to and cause of all life's problems.
but backward. "cause of and solution to..."
Basically we lose a short-yardage back that probably would of sat if Minor was healthy enough to be an every down TB. His time last year was probably due more to Minor's sore wrist than his "needed" role as a 3rd and 1 back.
Cox is a redshirt freshman that may not have seen the field this year, however, he may see some limited short-yardage carries... making him more seasoned for next year. Other than that, I don't see any real impact of losing Grady for this season.
Very sad story. He basically "Kelly Baraka'd" himself over a 4-year period rather than in a 4 month period.
