Jeremy Gallon drafted to AFL Expansion Team Washington DC Valor
All you Washington, DC area-based Wolverines will have a chance to see Mr. Gallon when the inaugural season of the AFL's DC Valor kicks off this April. It was announced Jan 12 that he is on the Valor's roster.
I was a big fan of Gallon's time at the Big House and who can forget his amazing performance against ND in the night game. A true Michigan man. Look forward to seeing him resume his pro career stateside and I hope he gets called back up to the NFL one day soon.

Valor? That's almost as bad of a nickname as the Jazz.

for a team in NOLA.

With a bonus of Jehu wrecking folks!

Dang, who's 86 in that play? Putting on my Carmac the Magnificent turban, I see the Steelers picking up Mr. Chesson in the draft, and him destroying Raven DBs on running plays for many years, a la Hines Ward.

Notre Dame should do better despite what all their fans say about how hard it is to recruit. If Stanford is landing 5* talent every year, there's no reason Notre Dame can't either. Brian Kelly (and several of their coaches before him) just suck
I guarantee you that if Urban slide over to South Bend, they'd be swimming in top 100 talent and top 10 teams in no time

their fans noted that he had a lower win percentage than Ty Willingham, who was fired.

Kind of sags in memory with the knowledge that the team/season sucked.

Gallon must have had a fun year or so, living in Japan. Anyone know if Gardner is still playing for the Nojimba Rise?

I never really followed the AFL before - but holy shit that league is a mess over the last several years, seems there are new franchises popping up each year as older ones dissolve.
Congrats to Gallon though - hoping his team and the league are around long enough for him to have an opportunity to make an impact.

I was aware the AFL was in trouble, but right now only 5 teams are listed on its website?!?! Even the "storied" franchises like the San Jose Sabercats, Arizona Rattlers, and Orlando Predators seem to be gone...

I was thinking they had like 16 teams (and I quick wiki check says they did have 18 as recently as 2011) and now they're down to just 5

There's been some struggles in the last few years. Some of the teams have jumped to other leagues as well.

How Gallon has not got another look from a NFL is absurd. He is a monster in the slot. He could play on a team that is lacking WR that can catch the damn ball. Lots of teams have horrible WR's

Except he played mostly on the outside at MI. NFL doesn't see him as slotty, I guess.

I don't think he's got the shiftiness to be a slot. I think Brian made some comment like "If Gallon was 6'3" he'd be an All-American". He's an outside receiver that lacks the height to be a pro at it

He's a dwarf
