Good for him. Dee Hart is still our top target; we land him and we're done with RB recruiting IMO.
I'm guessing Utah's recruiting will pick up a bit with their new conference.
Anyway, I don't think this is a big loss. There are a few other guys I'd rather have. I just hope the coaches are doing the right thing by putting all their eggs in the Demetrius Hart basket...
Utah could end up becoming a strong regional power in the Pac 10. I would hesitate to say they could become a national power, but I honestly would not be surprised to see them winning their division on at least a semi-annual basis. They could fill the role that Washington used to back in the Don James era.
Over the years I'll bet they've lost some regional recruits who wanted to play in a more high-profile conference (i.e., that Pac Ten). No longer a problem...
It's true that they've probably lost some, but that part of the country isn't known for its football talent.
