What the hell. The board has been pretty mundane this week even with some big news. Harbaugh signed, mens b-ball is trending up. Womens b-ball is looking like a national title contender, softball and baseball are starting up and we’re getting some key pieces back in hockey after early exits in the Olympics. All in all I’d say we could all use a late winter pick me up!

There are seven inches of snow on my driveway. The streets in the area are poorly plowed. It's 10 degrees. But what the hell? The house is warm and I have a bottle of 12 year old Whistle Pig Rye. It's Friday. Daytime drinking!

I don't think I've mentioned it yet on here, but SecretAgentWomayne and I are welcoming our first child--a baby daughter this summer! We already bought a Michigan onesie, hopefully it will fit her by fall :) I'm both excited and terrified. By this time next year, hopefully I'm a little bit wiser. I'll definitely be more tired.

Bball is trending up but it sure would be nice if it were a consistent arc. In the first half we couldn't hit a shot and at one point in the second half we were hitting them at 70%. It's good to see improvements on the defensive end and the ball movement has gotten much better as the seasons progressed but this teams inconsistency with shooting makes it nearly impossible to predict their success. If they make the tournament they might be a first round exit or an elite 8 team. I still enjoy watching them play, and the improvements this year could lead to a really fun year next year. Go Blue!
